New Enhancements, Dining Options Coming to Disney’s BoardWalk

The timing of the restaurant's opening isn't great when WDW restaurants overall are seeing a decline in bookings.

It also lacks the novelty of Toothsome or a Chef Mickey's or anything about the experience that would make it a must do.
That’s not 100% true! It’s no character dining, but the elaborate tea time design/theming and glitter everywhere seems to be the driving force for the Indiana locations.

Add in a velvet rope, strict dress code, and out-of-reach exclusive club membership and this place will be packed.

But seriously, I'm guessing Disney is charging them pretty high rent.

Which again, would make it make a lot of sense at Grand Floridian with the tea time and all. But for Boardwalk, the vibe and pricing are insane, and I don't see this lasting more than a year or two unless they make some changes. Many, many comments on social media about how people refuse to go due to prices. And since it's third party, it won't have the same Disney FOMO that we typically see.

You will basically see Wedding's, baby showers, women brunch together, Anniversaries, convention business people, and forefront mostly vloggers - vloggers showing off how everything is delicious and fancy when they don't give s*t because it's people's money and not their's.
Another thing to show off after or before an Epcot Private Fireworks cruise!

There was a time when prices went down… I’m not sure if it was a Coke sponsorship thing, or what but I remember when coke bottles sold for $2.50 I walked up to an ODV and she said “$2” I said “only $2? The prices went down!?” And she said “I’m as shocked as you are” haha

Of course that was before Iger….

It also seems there’s some possible impediments to their business model. While the area in general gets a lot of foot traffic, is that the sort of clientele that will pay at these prices? And for those knowing what it’ll cost what it will, and want to go anyway, does the Boardwalk parking situation make that too much of a hassle? Can one even park at Boardwalk to walk up to Cake Bake Shop? Pretty sure parking at Boardwalk is strictly enforced, given its proximity to Epcot.
