New Disneyland Parking Garage and Transportation Hub

People walked under them all the time when they went across the parking lot.

Thousands of people per day still stand and walk directly under those power lines as they cross Harbor Blvd. and Disney Way, plus over on Disneyland Drive too. They align with not just this intersection (among many others in SoCal), but the major crosswalks and pedestrian paths built in that intersection in 1998.

While I know you shouldn't hang from power lines or try to lick them, what danger is there from walking under them? And if there was some known danger, Edison wouldn't have been allowed to string them up over city streets to begin with.

Why would Disney allow people to walk under the electric towers? What about the EMF radiation coming off those towers that people are getting exposed to?

A little light reading.
Do High Voltage Power Lines Cause Cancer?
This could be a very short article. I could just write “no, power lines don’t cause cancer”—but that wouldn’t explain why so many people believe otherwise.

Even if long-term exposure to power lines was a health risk, walking under them twice a visit likely wouldn't be an issue.

Ah, got it. Sorry, I'm old and I can't keep up with what bored housewives in Laguna Niguel gab about at Yoga Class; the latest health scare with no grounding in scientific proof but puked out by the likes of Dr. Jenny McCarthy or a drunk Kardashian somewhere.

It's the Anti-Vaccine crowd from South Orange County, in all their leased Lexus glory.

I think one would be in more danger of 'getting cancer' by sun exposure from reflective concrete surfaces while walking the Parks then from walking under large power lines.

That, or drinking the Jungle Cruise river water.

Or maybe breathing in all that theatrical fog used in / during certain Attractions and Shows.

In reality, everyone knows you get cancer from holding your cell phone too close to your head while talking....come on, guys...!

So much for Carousel Inn's security. Any bozo off the street can walk up to your room, look in the windows or hang out at the ice maker.

More from Fresh Baked. Here he is filming around the Carousel Inn, which I found interesting to get a feel for where the new facilities will be located. As always, mute the commentary and look at the images.

LOL... why did the woman in the video ask if all the rooms in the motel would be turned into parking spaces? My fault for not watching on mute. :hilarious:

The video was nice to see, as I doubt any of us have ever actually visited the Carousel Inn. Any time I've dropped into the Pizza Press next door it's been after leaving the parks at night and you can't see much.

But I just can't warn people enough, you really must watch this video with the mute button on. The idiocy of the comments and dialogue will steal some of your brain cells if you don't hit mute.
