New attraction preference

I just do not see The Incredibles at Epcot. Don't get me wrong, I like Incredibles, but I feel like it fits in Epcot, and definitely not in place of Wonders of Life.

All the others sound good to me, especially Journey to the Center of the Earth at AK.

Uhh... The Incredibles in Epcot?

Am I the only one seeing this?

Even though I think it would fit best in Disney-MGM Studios, I still think it could fit pretty well into Future World at Epcot, because the film is semi-futuristic. And as someone said in a post earlier, just because it's a movie dosen't mean it has to go in the studios.

The only problem I see with putting a Brother Bear ride in Canada simular to Grizly Peak at DCA is (correct me if I'm wrong) that all the pavilions have exactly the same space to work with. They have the same sq footage as every other pavilion in the World Showcase. They even have a height restriction. I believe something of that size will go above and beyond those limits.

Also, (again, correct me if I'm wrong) the actually countries represented have say into what gets put into their pavilion. If Canada got an E ticket, could you imagine the problems with other pavilions Disney would have, expecially if Disney paid for it?

I also believe with Grizzly Peak being the icon of DCA that it should be there and there alone. Even though Disneyland, MK, and Tokyo DL share castles, the are visually distinctive from one another in my oppinion.

You are right about that. The reasons for it, is because the countries that are curently in the represented gave Disney money to help pay for the construction through their department Tourism in hopes of getting more tourism to their country by giving disney guest a taste of what the really country has to offer. As for the space and hight restrictions, I don't know. France and the UK seem much bigger in space, then that of Mexico or China. But I could be wrong.

Its never explicitly stated, but if you look for the clues, its hinted that The Incredibles takes place during the late 60's/early 70's, the "Silver Age" of comic books. However, I still think it fits, as the visual design of the movie is derived from the optimistic futurism of the 60's that Walt embraced, and that spawned E.P.C.O.T. Center originally.

The Incredibles definately belong in DS and not in Epcot... each of the pavilions in future world have always been themed with an energy or science background, which is part of the reason that Soarin does not have its own pavilion, but is part of another... you cant take that learning-teaching background out of Future World without starting to unraval the fabric which holds it all together

I'm just not to keen on seeing an Incredibles attraction. Yes, it was a great film, but it is way to recient and I personally don't think it can stand the test of time like all the other disney movies.

It closed around April 2004 and reopened November 2004 as a playground.

Whoa, you're wrong, Michael

Pooh's Playful Spot openined in Novemeber 2005. In 2004, the lagoon was still boarded up, hidden from guests' view as it had been in the many years previous.

THAT'S why you didn't see it on your two trips in 2005. It wasn't open yet.

Just to throw my 2 cents in:

I kind of hope they get rid of Indy and put something in its place. As everyone has said a million times over, MGM is just very out of date. Star Tours could use a new movie, if you watch it closely, youll notice some VERY 80s haircuts, carpet, etc. Keep Star Wars, refurb it, whipe out Indy and add...anything really...

Well, it closed down around the shareholder revolt in 2004. I remember that distinctly. I never really payed much attention to it afterwards. Parts of it were open earlier in 2005, but the main thing opened in the fall. It just blows my mind that it took about a year and a half to fill in a lagoon and build a PLAYGROUND!:brick:

But thanks for catching my mistake, that's the kind of stuff that happens when you stay up late with your girlfriend and have to go to work 4 hours later...

What I dont understand is how the Submarine Voyage in DL is going to be turned into a Nemo ride. And 20K lagoon gets turned into a playground. Why is that? I had a perfect ride idea with Nemo for the 20k lagoon. It would be awesome if Disney listened to use for there descions.

Because we have a little something called the Living Seas in Walt Disney World, but if I'm not mistaken, it was more about a potential leak. I look forward to big things happening on this land in the future.

I no but didnt they start construction at DL before LS? They lagoon was still there when they began construction why not just clone it like they did with Soarin and Midway Madness?

They've been working on the lagoon since 2004??? Even still, I think they saw a greater potential with Nemo at the Living Seas. Plus, they are basically cloning some of the effects at Disneyland for the Seas with Nemo and Friends. I also think that they have much nicer plans for our former lagoon.

All sound awesome, and would be great for the seemingly back to the roots ideals going on at disney parks. B&B meaning Bedknobs and Broomsticks is so random though... unless there is another B&B. But bring on more ALICE!!!

Actually, I could see B&B as a ride, themed to the broomstick flight through the village when the Nazis attack. (Maybe Harry Potter could have a cameo-since it is about Witches, brooms and England ).

JTTCOTE is likely to happen, just not within the next 5 years.
The villains dark ride is likely to go at MGM (assuming that DS stands for Disney Studios). They are saving the space behind Pooh's Playful Place for something *bigger* and *better* :animwink:
Haven't heard anything about Australia in a long time.
Pinnochio is going to be what? And what will it replace? (Never heard that idea before)
Stunt Show replacement is 98% going to happen for sure.
Alice maze and meet and greet? Where will it go?
Incredibles at Epcot would go in Wonders of Life
Brother Bear is only a possibility at this point
I am assuming the three new WS countries would go on the location of the Millenium Village.

If the villain ride is a HUGE E-Ticket ride, it will be awesome. Someone mentioned it could be a log flume- that would be even better. Imagine a huge animatronic of Maleficent in dragon form right before the final drop.
