Would you reveal your source if it could risk their job?
No, but there are other, safer ways of doing it. You don't have to be too specific. I'm just asking because my sources denounce these every time they come up...Believe me, I would never ask someone to "give up" their sources. I'm sure you can understand my curiosity

Ok, I'll do this the safest way I can- I will list my relations to Disney and let you infer on your own-

I have/am:
  1. Friends in Disney Management
  2. Friends in Disney Marketing
  3. Friends in Disney R&D
  4. An Annual Passholder
  5. Friends with Disney Construction workers
  6. Stockholder
  7. Live in Orlando
  8. More to list that can't be identified in any specific way.
These are some of my relations to Disney. I understand your curiosity, and I appreciate you asking.

I expect an announcement for at least two of these on October 1st, 2006.

I appreciate that. So, something to look forward to when the new celebration starts.

Direct clones or at least some uniqueness? I hope not lower quality.

Well, some of the attractions mentioned earlier (like the maze) are clones. The others will be unique. One thing to remember is that with any new clones that come to WDW, they will have something distinctive (For Soarin' it was the queue).

Well, I would hope that JttCotE would have a modified story to fit in DAK, and perhaps a unique moutain/vocanoe. I would also hope that IJA would continue the tradition of having a unique experience for each park.

JttCotE probably would only be slightly modified to fit its surroundings. It fits into DisneySea because it is tied into the surrounding area. They would need to modify the identity of the volcano or mountain.

IJA isn't the only option of what will be featured in the old location of the IJ Stunt Show. In fact, even if IJA is chosen as the E-Ticket to go in the location, there would be another attraction tied into the theming...

It isn't a definite yet, so don't plan a visit to Disney just to go on that date, but that is the cosmic date when alot of good things are set to happen-but still not definite things-we could be suprised.

AK will be the next big show stopping location!

DS received ToT and RnRC

While the fact about DS may be true, AK is already getting the Nemo show and it just got Everest, the most expensive single project made for a park in the last ten years.

It isn't in desperate need of extra attractions anymore (Except a parade and a fireworks show to keep the park open at night).

That leaves DS as the only half-day park left.

I wouldn't go that far. While EE is definitely a much needed addition to AK, I think it still has a few additions to go before it ceases to be a half day park. The wife and I easily did AK by noon the last time we were there. One roller coaster doesn't even come close to adding another 10 hours onto the park, let alone 3 hours. If the lines are long and you don't get a fastpass, it may add a couple hours to your stay there, but AK has a long, long way to go before it ranks up there with MK and EPCOT as a park that has enough attractions to fill an entire day. While MGM Studios can use a few addes attractions as well, IMO, Animal Kingdom should still be the priority.

Someone said that there is plenty of room for 3 new countries where the millenium thing currently is. However, I was just looking at a map of EPCOT, and not only did I not see any millenium place on the map, but it also looked like the only space big enough to put a new country would be between China and Germany where that outpost thing currently is. Where is this other spot located that I have seen mentioned?

It depends on if your were looking at the type of map they give you to navigate your way around or and actual ariel picture of the park. The reason is that the places on the map are condesncised together just so you have a idea of where you are going, and it doesn't higlight any empty space that the park may or may not have.

I was avoiding this thread because I don't know how true the OP is...

** No offense, please, it's just a lot of information to be posted online; and as a CM whose department often knows about a lot of proposals, I didn't think they were looking at doing this much this quickly. **

...BUT, after talking to some people, I've learned that everything in there has been proposed throughout the last few years. But don't read that as confirmation. It's still all subject to change; and at this point, there are no E-ticket attractions in development. Midway Mania might turn out to be an E-ticket (I think it will), but it was conceived as a D. An E-ticket was once seriously considered for the old 20K lagoon, but we all know that it didn't happen.

As for the D-MGM-versus-AK argument, good reasons exist for both to get new attractions. The D/MGM Studios is now a 3/4-day park, but relies too much on shows that don't warrant repeated visits. AK needs more, too. Four good attractions (KS, E:E, Kali RR, and Dinosaur) don't make a theme park. Furthermore, AK's walking-to-attraction ratio is terrible. You really do spend more time walking among gift carts than actually doing anything. The animal trails are nice, but are basically a zoo.

Overall, I think that the Studios needs a new attraction first. AK's detail and theming are much more submersive than the Studios', and since the park relies on animals, closing early is all right (for now). The Studios has Fantasmic, and it needs better reasons than butt-numbing shows to keep people in the park from opening 'til dark. The back half of the park also suffers from an identity crisis. Either way, both parks need C- and D- ticket attractions to fill them out.

...BTW, Jedimaster, I love your avatar. It brings me back to the good ol' days... let's hope that the Imagination pavilion gets the rumored refurb! :)

I am assuming the three new WS countries would go on the location of the Millenium Village.

I really doubt they would put any countries where the Millenium Village is because that is now a banquet facility with a Private enterance and the Catering Kitchens for EPCOT
