It's darker. That's about it.

Unless you think our Castle is ugly too...We have the same one!

Same thing.

Save for the ugly stage in front of ours.

Guess it's a matter of opinion then, because I think ours is better looking then Tokyo's. I dislike the dark color and the stage is way to big. It takes away from the castle.

Based on those two pictures I think our stage is much nicer.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that!

How exactly does TDL stage look like an extension of the castle? Are you referring to the brick work that matches the castle, because our stage has the same thing. And I find our golden railing much more elaborate and visually pleasing than TDLs generic white handrail.

While I'll give you the circus tent and arches (shame they can't be lowered beneath the stage for non-show times), I fail to see how TDL stage is more visually stunning. Technically, it is amazing, yes, but visually, its an eyesore.

From an architectural and historical standpoint, Neuschwanstein is about as much an actual castle as Cinderella's is.

But considering it is the castle that inspired the Disney castles, it's a good point nonetheless. I myself prefer Orlando's castle.

There is something about having a show in front of the castle that to me is a no-brainer. I just spent this past year living on the west coast in Anaheim and one of the things that I missed the most was having a major show in front of the castle. It gives it something of extra interest and really adds to the atmosphere IMHO. It's hard for me to imagine the Magic Kingdom with out that show. Even though I don't always stop and watch the show I'm always glad its there and it's a nice way to incorporate the Disney characters in a thematically appropriate setting. To me having a show in front of the castle is "Disney", not to mention I'm in love with DAWM.
Next rip it looks like I need to see that. Everyone raves about it. And I hear it has pyro. :D

It looks a lot darker and dirty. I prefer pristine white like it originally was.
 It's more authentic.

I don't know, but to me, the shape, color, and surrounding plants make it seem more organic and tied to the structure.

Ours, with oddly placed tents and arches seems tacked in.

That's what inspired Disneyland's, I think, not ours. You can see the resemblance in the top turrets.

From a technical stanpoint the Tokyo stage is amazing and I believe it can be changed out due to what show they are currently performing.

Personally I would love to see a new castle show. I haven't been thrilled with the ones they have had recently, and by four in the afternoon I love to grab a spot on the pavement in front of the castle with some treats from Main Street and relax and watch the stage show. I used to love the older stage shows from the early nineties, I would love to see a show like that on the castle stage. Does anyone remember the show when they used to sing to have a Zip A Dee Do Dah Day, that was my favorite. Also I would like to be able to walk through the castle, they always seemed to have it blocked off for the shows, where as before they never used to.

As far as Parades go we are definitly in need a new parade and new floats, Im crossing my fingers.

having only been to WDW twice, I can only comment on two shows. Cinderella's Surprise Celebration and Cinderellabration. After the first show, I was extremely underwhelmed by Cinderellabration. I'd love to see a show like Surprise Celebration on the stage again...

That would be fine with me. Maybe Tara will be given the project. One can only hope!
