How about this for one of those 'Never thought I would be doing this' 20 years ago. I am officially 5 days away before I have to wake up @ 6:30 am to make enough coffee to wake me up so I can start dialing the phone @ 6:58 am so I can make reservations for Cinderella's Castle character breakfast exactly 180 days before we are to arrive @ Walt Disney World on December 7, 2008. Yeah...if you were to tell me 20 years ago that I would be doing that, I would have slapped you upside the head with with my Mickey Ears!!

For sure...5 year old daughter, 3 year old niece, 41 year old wife...you take your pick on who is more excited.

my wife gets just as excited as my daughter does...I can't wait for my son to truly experience Disney...

Son?....saw daughter, niece and wife mentioned...but no son....

Good luck with the breakfast. Getting ressies has eased a little bit with the availability of lunches as well, good luck!

Yep. I had to do this on Easter Sunday (a good thing since the Easter Bunny FORGOT to come the night before). We had both house phones on hold as well as both cell phones. So funny, the things you don't do for your kids. The big smiles will be worth it though!

Good luck! As others have mentioned it has eased up a bit with the lunch option added. We have done this numerous times and have been rewarded each time. I was worried when we did this for grand gatherings...but we got lucky even then. Sending some extra pixie dust your way!!!!

I guess everyone else beat me to saying that it's very easy to get a reservation now-a-days. I think my Mom booked our meal in February, and we had our lunch on May 21st.

The meal I DO suggest waking up early to make a reservation for is Hoop Dee Doo at Fort Wilderness. The earlier you make your reservation, the closer to the stage you'll be. And they like to pick on the audience that's right in front of them!

Is your son too young to really appreciate Disney, or is said son more of a theoretical person as yet? :ROFLOL:

I went there a couple years ago and made reservations about 2 months out. Of course this was lunch.

I have to say that I didnt care much for it. It was cool that the kids got to see Cinderella, but my legs are long and the dinning room has a couple tables more than they should. I felt cramped the whole time.
We like the Crystal palace and liberty tavern more.

Good Luck! It is a very magical place to dine :)

If you don't manage to get them, keep trying! My fiance & I were able to book the CRT breakfast in late march for our honeymoon in July. There's always cancellations.

Thanks for the sentiments...my son is only 5 months old so just having me walk into the room puts a smile on his face...probably within the next year, when we will be back 3 times, he will start to appreciate it more.

But if you're staying onsite you can make all your ADRs 180 days from your check in day!!!
For 10 days in advance of your start day.

good luck with the ressie! I was so lucky and got them for my dd(8) and me and my girlfriend for a girls breakfast our last morning in the park. We are sending the hubbies and our boys( 3 boys between the 2 families going (three 6 yr olds and one 8 yr old ) to the Crystal Palace.

We are all so excited! So I guess I would have to say your wife is probably more excited at this point! LOL
