This morning I woke us and it was snowing - hard - and the sun was out. It kept up for about a half an hour. Now if that ain't mother nature messing with you, I don't know what is.

We still have the "ice fairyland" thing going on here today. The temp is only going up to 25 so we can expect to keep the coating at least another day. Workmen are next door at the Nursery School building chiseling the enormous ice cicles off the roof near the front door. We also had the flurries this AM with sun, too. I am seriously considering adding another 4 letter word to the bad word list - S N O W .

TF Green's record for snow in a season is 107 inches in 95-96...they have 48 inches so far. my town has more snow than TF Green ( ex. last snow storm, the airport only got 9.5 inches and we got 13). but a real winter finally...yeah although for me...the only bad thing is the stupid drivers who think their invincible and the snow banks. Seriously, like why can't they put the snow from the streets into the woods or something?

not to mention RIers freak out every time snow is mentioned and DOT is horrible (they're a good 5 feet away from sidewalks).

Just when you think the weather is getting to be a pain in the (bottom), it does. Just about everything here is covered in 2 feet of snow or 2 inches of ice, including our driveway which is about 100 feet long and slopes downward toward our house. We started having freezing rain this afternoon, so I thought it would be a good idea to put my son's car in the garage so it wouldn't get coated.

I wound up with the car stuck sideways across the driveway. When I got out, I fell and slid 25 feet on my buttocks. I can imagine what it will feel like in the morning.

Is it spring yet?

I've spent so much time clearing the driveway that my wife thinks I'm having an affair with the snowblower. I had to explain to her that it only does snow...

We've had more snow this year, than in a long time. We usually only get about 3-6 inches a year though. But it's been very cold sometimes. A few weeks ago I had to stop and get gas on my way to work. The gas cover wouldn't pop open. I had to leave and drive to where my husband was working and switch cars. Thank goodness that was only a few miles, but he had to put gas in the car before he got back home. Hum! Maybe that wasn't such a bad thing afterall. :D

Sounds a bit like our mailman's problems the other day. He tried to turn his truck around in our driveway, and ended up sideways across the street.
Are you in New England?

I had to climb over the seats in the van to get in the other day because the front doors were frozen. I've really had enough!

but I'll be back in FL in 2 weeks!

That's happened to me! I had to load my kids through the rear lift-gate because the sliding doors were frozen shut.

And - by the way - I am sooooo jealous of you in 2 weeks!!

I've been enjoying 70 to 80-degree temps for the past couple of weeks down in FL; yesterday we even hit 87.

So, uh... PM me if you want me to send some of that. :lookaroun
