Nemo'14's Escape from Winter Thread - Come on In!

Victoria

Not old, just vintage.
I am SO over this snow. I woke up today to another 16 inches piled on top of the nearly 2 feet of old snow I already had. I spent almost 3 hours this morning shoveling my sidewalk, standing knee deep in snow to clean off my car, and then shoveling a path around my car. A little while ago I ventured out to Wal-Mart. What a mistake. Some roads are ok, but others are still horrible. The parking lot was a total disaster though. Most entrances/exits were impassable and the whole thing was a sheet of ice. Tonight I learned pairs ice skating with a shopping cart as my partner. :hammer:

Here's a picture just for the hell of it. The pile of snow at the end of my lawn is about as tall as I am.

OK, everyone's invited to my house for Spring Training. A daily trip over to Ft. Meyers for some Red Sox action should warm the hearts of the Northerners on this forum. You can all camp-out on my back lawn. Oh, bring machete's, because I live waterfront and we've had alligators prowling around over the years.

Btw- here's a photo of your accommodations (the view from my back yard at sunrise).

I'm 5 feet tall and that pile is pretty hard for me to see over if I'm standing right next to it. There is another pile in front of my car that has to be close to 4 feet tall at this point. It can't snow anymore. There is nowhere left to put it!

I really do feel for you guys up north. We've had our share of it down here, I can't imagine dealing with what you are dealing with.

Thanks - it's really getting depressing. I hate walking in it, shoveling in it, driving in it! I'd be happy with a little Christmas snow, but December 26th I want it gone!!
