Quite good. Please keep this going for the rest of the Grand’s refurbishment! Rooms, Citricos, and now this are all great. If the lobby is decent, we will have gotten by pretty unscathed.

The photo that just focuses on the Kirkland’s shabby chic wall mandala is kinda lol, though.

It's all a bit of a shrug from me. Neither bowled over nor missing the old interior.

That wall mandala, though, is just the kind of thing that gets under my skin in interior decorating more generally and that seems to characterise interior design at WDW hotels these days. I don't get the point of some random, generic piece of decoration that looks like it's out of a catalogue and thus kind of tacky. In the past they used to make a deal of specially designed light fittings, etc. for theming purposes, but nowadays most of their furniture and decorations look like they're picked out of a catalogue.

Personally, I think a blank wall or clean surface looks better than random decoration... but maybe that is just me!
