Universal is definitely more, hmm I guess you could say fun sized compared to WDW. We have APs to Disney and Universal and love them both but they are very different experiences that is for sure. I'd say we go to Disney five times for every one trip to Universal but I do love having the Express pass built into my AP at Universal. We can ride a lot of rides in the 2 or 3 hours we spend in the parks when we go because of it and that is a definite plus. But Universal never feels as special to me. Great rides but other than the Potter stuff I just don't feel transported away from reality there like I do at Disney.
I'm guessing you live in the area then? I think since I live North and stay on property for Disney and Universal, they both feel like magical vacation bubbles to me. One is just a larger bubble! And at Uni, we walk everywhere whereas we have to utilize the bus at WDW. Which I don't actually mind, I just prefer being able to walk.

Yah I'm about 30 min from Disney so it is really easy to just run down there for an hour or two. They are both pretty amazing and Uni is definitely more convenient to get around. By a long shot....

This might have been mentioned before, but I miss the Epcot Spaceship Earth wand (preferably when it said 2000). They could have easily just renamed the ride to Spaceship Earth 2000 leaving the wand (not to mention Jeremy Irons version of the ride) :cautious:

I was never impressed with the yeti at Expedition Everest. And I have the opportunity to enjoy that attraction during its preview stage, and the days of its grand opening, and in the months after its opening. I always felt like you were blaring by way too fast actually appreciate anything that Yeti was doing. Everyone was talking about the great motion and I was like, how the heck can you tell! So when it broke down and went into strobe light mide I honestly did not perceive any significant difference. The only difference was that people now knew because they read it on the internet.

I also strongly prefer the version of Buzz Lightyear that Walt Disney World has versus what Disneyland has. I do like at Disneyland how you can pick up the guns and how Z's light up, but I love Walt Disney World's elevation changes in track and sets designs especially the repurposed speed tunnels.

The movie Frozen sucks. It really sucks. I hate it's stinkin' guts. It makes me vomit. It is scum betwixt my toes. Therefore...that abomination that has replaced Maelstrom sucks. And it will continue to suck for all of time. IP's have no place in Epcot and I'm disgusted to my core about the direction things are going there.

And once more for posterity. FROZEN. SUUUUUUUUUUCKS!

Oh. Ironically. I. Miss. Eisner.

I've found that the most unpopular opinion on these boards, quite often, is to say that you enjoy going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot Center and don't think either one is a decaying pit that's a travesty.

That said, I agree with others that I've never really gotten into meeting characters. I know it's a big deal for a lot of folks. But it's incredibly awkward for me. Not a fan.

FROZEN. SUUUUUUUUUUCKS!
I find that the best unpopular opinions explain why you have that opinion rather than just venting.

The Hat is life! The Hat has moved on to a higher realm of existence and watches over us all! When you look back at the beach and see only one set of footprints, those are the times the Hat carried you.
My Mom and Dad had one of "those" clocks on the wall when I was growing up...I got a snort out of this! :)

Yeah that's a totally unpopular opinion around here. You're a big outsider for complaining that they replaced Maelstrom with Frozen.

The only M&Gs I like are the ones where there's something particularly impressive about the costume itself. Beast and Chewbacca come to mind. Other than that, M&Gs are for my daughter and that's it. I really don't get the adults who talk to the characters in character.

As unoriginal as I might be in my opinion of it...it's even more unpopular to keep harping about it...and that's why it's unpopular...which means I'm unpopular...it's like a never ending chain of un-popular-inception...something...

I dunno where I'm going with this...lol
