The only M&Gs I like are the ones where there's something particularly impressive about the costume itself.
Or ones where you can interact. The Gaston meet-and-greets are glorious, and I've seen Merida be utterly charming with kids. I'll never forget watching one time when a little boy (I found out later, a Make A Wish kid) in full Peter Pan garb waited outside the castle while they got Peter to come out and say hi and make the kid's day. And I remember once getting my photo with Mary Poppins; a friend of mine reached around to put his hand on her shoulder, and she brushed it off and said "a gentleman takes a lady's hand." Practically perfect.

Yah I'm about 30 min from Disney so it is really easy to just run down there for an hour or two. They are both pretty amazing and Uni is definitely more convenient to get around. By a long shot....
You lucky duck! If I wasn't such a baby about temperatures higher than 90 degrees, I'd probably move down there.

I lived down there for three years. You get used to the > 90 degree summers pretty quickly. It was the 88 degree Octobers that really start to melt your brain.
I didn't mind the 88° days in October -- it was the fact that the day started out at 88° at 6 in the morning that I got tired of...

Been here since 2005, there is not getting used to the summer heat if you actually want to do something outside for me.

Here are a few:

  • Hollywood Studios is a 2 hour park including the tram ride and parking.
  • People who run other people over with their double wide strollers should be flogged
  • People who run other people over because they can't drive a scooter should be flogged
  • People who cut the lines should be burned at the stake
  • Having a ticket doesn't mean you're entitled to anything but park entry
  • If you use multiple magic bands to score more FP+ than anyone else you should be trespassed
  • Pool hopping should be OK if you're staying at the same level resort
  • If you give someone else your magic band to fast pass a ride, you should be flogged

My family loved MyMagic+ as well. The whole system was so much better. We went in June, and between the system and trip planning, never waited in line for more than 40 minutes!
Mind if I ask what My Magic+ is? It's been a few years since I've visited WDW, specifically.

I hate It's a Small World, I can never get that lame tune out of my head. Hate the ever increasing crowds which Disney needs to do something about--- expand the parks, limit the crowds whatever. Hate they changed Alien Encounter (best ever) into Stich (sucks). Loved the old Universe of Energy, Bill N and Ellen D version Boring!!!!. Hate they did away with the classic Mr. Toads Wild Ride. Loved CBR afraid the reconstruction may ruin it (wait and see) Dislike rude people who visit the parks, dislike those who bring politics into these forums. I love Disney World and would would be there now if I had not just come back
I miss Mr. Toad's Wild ride (what's there now?) and am very excited to see it again when I go to Disneyland in December.

What don't you like about 'Ohana? Thinking of going for the first time in September.

The food didn't set my world on fire. I didn't like the quasi-Don Ho entertainment. I was with a group of friends, so I went with the flow. Don't let my dislike of the place dissuade you. It's a perennial favorite on the board. :)

i don't know if some of these are unpopular per se

- soarin' is fun but sliiiiightly overrated and frankly not worth waiting in any line over 20 mins for
- the all star resorts are kitschy in a good way
- kitchen kabaret > food rocks
- mission space isn't thrilling or nauseating
- i love ratatouille but judging from the DLP ride video i'm not too thrilled about it coming to epcot (but hey, i've only seen the video so who knows)
- maintain tropical serenade in its original form until the world ends
I thought the same thing about the Ratatouille ride in DLP until I actually rode it last year. It was surprisingly delightful.
