My Unpopular WDW Opinion - post yours!

Two things about this thread:

- it could also be called "A Thread To Troll The Majority Of WDW Fans" ;)
- threads about simple things like free cups of water or kids on shoulders generate so many arguments and vitriol, yet a thread where everyone is making a comment that is controversial to most people on here is very good natured so far, gotta love this forum

Oh, and one more thing: I love the Disney Dining Plan and encourage everyone to use it-I can eat all the expensive food without paying more for it :D

i don't know if some of these are unpopular per se

- soarin' is fun but sliiiiightly overrated and frankly not worth waiting in any line over 20 mins for
- the all star resorts are kitschy in a good way
- kitchen kabaret > food rocks
- mission space isn't thrilling or nauseating
- i love ratatouille but judging from the DLP ride video i'm not too thrilled about it coming to epcot (but hey, i've only seen the video so who knows)
- maintain tropical serenade in its original form until the world ends

I would rather still have kitchen kabaret or food rocks over Soarin'!

Very therapeutic.

I second the DHS opinions on here. I'd rather be in DHS than Epcot. Of course, that may have something to do with the amount of Star Wars in DHS...

Epcot is my least favorite park.
ME. TOO! People think I'm insane when I tell them this...but I have long liked Epcot the least. DHS is a disaster right now for sure, but it's still more fun than Epcot.

My unpopular opinion is that I actually sorta like Frozen Ever After, though it could use a proper storyline. I also want to admit it, but both I and my mom hate Ellen's Energy Adventure.

Figured it would be fun to start a thread of people posting their unpopular opinions. We all have attractions that we love, but sometimes we just can't see what others love about certain aspects of WDW. I'll go first.

I think Expedition Everest is totally lame! I don't understand why people love this ride so much. Yes, its theming is great, and the working Yeti was awesome. But beyond that, it's a boring roller coaster to me. Going backwards is sort of cool I guess, but I've always felt the ride itself has too much of a buildup before you actually get to a ROLLER COASTER type part. I don't like the stopping and starting aspect of it. Even the first time I ever went on it, my siblings were screaming about how amazing they thought it was, but I was underwhelmed. I remember we immediately went on it again, thinking maybe I had missed something, yet I still felt underwhelmed. And I'm a guy who LOVES storylines with my rides! (Heck, my screen name is after Rod Serling for crying out loud - Tower of Terror is one of the best pieces of imagineering.)

One of my best friends went on it for the first time last Labor Day, and he concurred that it is overrated and was underwhelmed. In fact, I will ride Space Mountain over Everest any day of the week! Still a better ride, even right now in questionable shape. :p

Feel free to disagree with me - that's what this thread is all about, unpopular opinions!
Your turn! What is your unpopular opinion? :)

Living on The Land is the worst ride in WDW.

I think that Dinosaur is far superior to the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland.

And after going to Universal this past year, I now hate how spread out WDW is and how long it takes to get from place to place.

I don't understand the vinylmation or tsum tsum collectibles...I prefer to spend money on souvenirs that serve some sort of purpose besides sitting on a shelf.

And I don't get pin trading. Don't get me wrong, I have Disney pins, but I have them because I like them and bought them for myself. To keep. You cannot have my pins.

Universal is definitely more, hmm I guess you could say fun sized compared to WDW. We have APs to Disney and Universal and love them both but they are very different experiences that is for sure. I'd say we go to Disney five times for every one trip to Universal but I do love having the Express pass built into my AP at Universal. We can ride a lot of rides in the 2 or 3 hours we spend in the parks when we go because of it and that is a definite plus. But Universal never feels as special to me. Great rides but other than the Potter stuff I just don't feel transported away from reality there like I do at Disney.
