My son has been accepted into the Disney College Program

Hello guys!! Exciting news for me and my familly. My DS (age 23) has been accepted to the Disney College Program and will be starting his college/work program on January 31, 2011.

He's studying Hotel and Restaurant Management and submitted his application about two weeks ago and his acceptance letter arrived last Friday.

He's very excited and we're all very excited and happy for him. He will spend almost seven months (Jan-Aug. 2011) studying and working at my favorite place in the whole world.

Darn!! Guess I will have to go visit him a couple of times.:lol:

Can't wait for him to get started!!!:sohappy:

That's awesome... I wish my academic schedule would have let me try for that at some point. I have my on-campus interview for a full-time Financial Analyst position with Parks and Resorts next week.

Durning my freshman year of college I was accepted but decided not to go to stay with my then boyfriend, now husband...even though I love my husband and was happy to build our relationship, it is the one thing that I can honestly say I regret not doing! I hope that he has a wonderful time and congratulations!

Aw, congrats to him! I wanted to do this, but the expenses outweighed the benefits. =(

Thank you all!!

We're very excited for him because this is something he always wanted and now he has the chance to do it.

Also, it is a great opportunity for him to eventually stay and work full time for Disney if everything goes right, which I know it will.

I am doing the program as well!! I look forward to meeting your son! Also, if he has a Facebook, he should definitely join the Spring 2011 College Program group. There's over 500 of us from all over the country connecting and making friends. It's fantastic!

My CP was an amazing experience, he'll love it. I see you're from San Juan so I assume he won't have car with him. Word of advice for him, make friends with people who have cars ;) he'll have sooo much more fun and experience it to the fullest.
