So, just curious in case anyone has any insight that they can offer.

Is there nervousness about this whole project inside the executive suites in either Anaheim or Orlando? Or at least possibly a sense of unease?

Do some of the powers that be feel that they are in the process of giving life to a $2B Frankenstein's monster and the villagers are waiting with their pitchforks?

when does this go into effect? I already bought my tickets for my end of October trip and Disney says I can't covert them to "virtual" tickets tied into MDX unless I see Guest Relations in person which obviously I cannot do I until I get there. Yes, they called them virtual tickets.

Oh screw it.

We're strapped into this idea like a rocket launch. I stand better odds of getting a fastpass for a cinnamon bun at Main Street Bakery than fighting this 2 billion dollar behemoth.

So lets figure out the system and find ways to circumvent it.
What happened to the cinnamons buns at Main Street Bakery?
Oh wait - wrong thread. Same degree of angst.
Probably a little more legit here though.

Just wait until Disney decides to sell additional FP+ to guest. It will be like a FB Game App. Hey for $10 you can buy one additional FP+ or 3 for $25. Wait....for $50 you can buy a FP+ Park Hopper. Use your 3 FP+ at any park for the day.

Both Burbank and Orlando don't have particularly high opinions of WDW guests. Regular visitors to WDWMagic.com are better informed than 98% of typical WDW "guests".

Corporate Disney's got some interesting survey data suggesting MM+ in general and FP+ in particular are going to be resounding successes. Data suggests many of the features being criticized on these threads are what WDW's "guests" actually want. Guests want to book their FP+ in advance, want smart phone apps to help them with their vacations, want to be able to connect with family & friends, want to be able to preorder their meals, want reserved spots for nighttime shows & character meet & greets, want Disney to provide some structure to what otherwise feels like an overwhelming vacation. Outside of these threads, Disney's got wonderful brand respect by consumers.

Their nervousness is over cost and delays. Many executives are intelligent but not particularly tech savvy and have been blindsided by the number of problems. Techies provided early warnings but they were viewed as naysayers and "go fever" prevailed.

Or so I've heard.:)

I wish I could say the problems are unique to Disney. Unfortunately, they are representative of the problems encountered by many conglomerates trying to implement programs the scale of MM+.

Just page 1. The rest is us complaining, griping, moaning.

Which is shocking... Given what a good idea this is!

Hopefully the next time they have 20 times the funds needed to fix the friggin yeti they develop a system where I can reserve bathroom breaks and mid day naps 2 years before I book my trip!

Will Disney see the benefits of selling additional FP+ slots?

Another question. If I book a fastpass to Space Mountain to my whole party but some of them don't want to ride, can I swap bands with them and use their FP+ or is the system tied so the whole party needs to ride it together?

I can't imagine they could "force" you to ride together. What if some members of your group had to stay with the little kids?
But seriously, who knows?!
