So what's the point of buying the Park Hopper? Makes no sense to spend the extra $$ when you don't get to FP the things you want to at each park.
Like the Bands and many of the other aspects but not thrilled with the rest.

Wow...disturbing, and at the same time...not overly surprising.

Love how they package these to make them look like a hip Apple product.....
( rolls eyes...and wanders off....)

It's almost shameless the way they have dedicated God knows how much time and research trying to figure out ways to make even MORE money off this misguided idea.

Please make it stop.

You want to see everything that is wrong with WDW today?

It isn't that MAGIC band tees exist, so much is there is a designer out there who is employed and an exec above him/her that is as well.

And, yes, these are practically guaranteed to be at Cast Connection and the outlets before Labor Day.

How long before they hit Spirit's beloved outlet?
I dont think anyone would disagree that Limited Time Magic has been an abysmal failure given the potential there, but one thing we were promised in October was merch. And all of the merch, save for the 24 hour party t-shirt was generic crap they would have sold anyway.

Dont tell me Long Lost Friends, Bayou Bash, Golden Horseshoe t-shirts wouldnt have been an immediate sell out. The Opa ones were gone before the end of the event, but that wasnt LTM...

Not happy about any of this. I used to be a WDW pro and now I'm a neophyte again.
Worst thing about all of this? Nail in the coffin for Sid Cahuenga! Once one of the best stores on property, a perfect example of "show" over direct profit, is going away.
It's not about transporting people to other times and places and having attractions, entertainment, food and merchandise carry forth that theme.

It is all about selling the Disney BRAND all the time, in your face. It is sad. You don't like it email, call or write to George Kalogridis and express that. He gets paid enough to take what you can dish out.

If you can "successfully" visit Walt Disney World, you can travel to just about anywhere on the globe. Language barriers, public transportation, etc., are all nothing compared to a first-time visit to Walt Disney World that is "properly" planned.

I can't imagine that's really what casual guests want...

What a great point, Tom. I can't imagine a first-timer visiting anywhere I've been (and this Spirit gets around!!!) needing to plan any more than doing WDW 'right' the first time for a week or two.

And I have a hard time telling anyone they should visit WDW now if they never have.

This is so true. I used to be terrified of visiting foreign places especially those where there might be a language barrier. No more. The only thing that keeps me from roaming the earth freely now is funds. Now that I'm learning how to study and find success in faraway lands I feel zero need to revisit the same ol' same ol' of WDW. Adventure is out there, people!

Agreed. I've actually steered a few noobs away in recent times. ;)

So has anyone else heard any further info about the notion that EMH would be phased out as the MM+ was implemented? That came up in conversation many moons back but I don't think I've seen any further mention of it.

Ok I've read through all 7 pages but please forgive me, I haven't read through all accompanying 90 billion threads and pages worth of info outside of this thread.... my brain simply can't handle it.

So, magicbands. @WDW1974, @Lee, @lentesta.... one question I have that I haven't seen anywhere yet. What will these COST to the consumer? Obviously, a ticket price hike is in order (and goes without saying) but will that also include the price of the MagicBand itself?

I noticed it was stated it costs Disney $4.50 each to produce. So is Disney going to charge people (minimum) $5 for getting one of these, or will it be 'included' in the price of the ticket?

Again, sorry if its been answered already.

it was in the OP and likely has been answered, but in case ... They are FREE. You don't pay and you can keep them. If an APer loses one the first replacement is free. After that, they are $50.

Price hikes will continue with the next one likely in early '14.
