The Park celebrates movies. That's the theme.

And even regardless of that, there's also this...

Hollywood. Studios. Both themes incorporated into the park, both very relevant to each other. The name is not perfect, but changing it again would just be confusing, and would accomplish nothing but more confusion. Further Confusement. Endless Confusement. People already don't know the difference between Disneyland and Disney World, Between Magic Kingdom and Disney World, Between Busch Gardens and Animal Kingdom, Between Universal Studios Florida, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. That will never change if you change the name again. They only changed it the first time because they were legally obligated.

I dont understand why people need an actual 'WORKING STUDIO" for something to be called a studio? Its a theme park!? the theme is hollywood and the studios and backstage and the glitz and glamour and television and feeling like your part of a movie! Its everything and it all flows if you stop and think about it!? I just dont understand. I honestly wouldnt care if they kept the working studio feel but atleast have more over there then. FIX backlot and make it impressive. Make a new stage show over there to show the production element. Have actors walking around. idk...something.

I'm from Los Angeles, and I've made countless visits to Universal Studios Hollywood. I'm used to a real movie and television studio, with real actors coming to work everyday, sets, sound stages, costume departments, etc., as well as the theme park aspect. Coming from my point of view, not to be offend you guys, but the studio part seems like a joke at DHS, and IT'S NOT A REAL MOVIE STUDIO. Why call it what it's not? That just doesn't make sense to me. That's all I'm saying. You guys most likely won't understand where I'm coming from, unless you've been to USH.

Thats like saying why call it "The Magic Kingdom" when its not a real castle and kingdom? Why can't there be a thempark about Hollywood and the studios paying tribute to it...without it being real? do you get what I am saying?

I get what you're saying, but you don't understand where I'm coming from. A kingdom and a movie studio are so different. A kingdom consists of a land or territory ruled by a king and usually a queen. Okay. Nothing too special. A movie studio is a designated place where there are man-made sets, sound stages, actors and actresses, directors, costume departments, costume designers, etc.. There is so much that goes into a movie studio and imagine how much more interesting it would be if it were real. A real kingdom along with a theme park is way less interesting when compared to a real movie studio, as well as a theme park. Once again, I'm not expecting you to understand where I'm coming from, because I'm guessing you've never been to USH and I feel like I'm beating a dead horse. I'll just leave it at that.

NO I completely get where you coming from! But the studios in florida just doesnt work in terms of a real studio. The backlot could just be another section of the park paying tribute to Hollywood! It could feauture actors like on sunset boulevard doing funny skits like they are in hollywood. A new show on the back sste that are already there! the new york street is a series of man made sets! and there could be a soundstage area! AND the backlot tour goes through the props, back sets and effects going into it. along with the set and prop workshop and costume desgin station....I am still not seeing the problem. Did I miss something you listed? It works. And why would you want a real working studio to have a themepark attatched to it? I think its kind of weird.

I'm not going to even go into this, since you've yet to experience something like a real studio and a theme park.

If it's weird, why would you want the same thing, only it's a fake?

I think its weird if its real! At DHS its a all one big show which is basically what a themepark is! from start to finish its a story! and I have been to a real studio before. I have been to universal in hollywood and orlando. last time I went to cali all I did was universl and disneyland not DCA. But I mean...Its just my opinion. If you think its a bad theme then I guess we have to agree to disagree.

That makes no sense. A real movie studio with a theme park is weird, but a fake movie studio with a theme park isn't? It's obvious Disney was copying Universal with the idea of a studio with a theme park, so they didn't think it was weird. I didn't say it was a bad theme, I said it would be better if it were real. I think we should just stop, because we're not going anywhere.

I really think the name should stay but the current theme should change. Disney should use all the theming skills they have to trick guests into thinking that it's a real working studio. This could be as simple as show's saying things like "We're filming a new Marvel movie currently" or as complex as adding extra soundstage facades or golf carts on side streets.

This is how DHS could be an experience unlike anything else!

Yeah, nothing too special, governing bodies don't run the world...

I have been to USH, I get the general idea of where you're coming from, but I think you're wrong. USH is a Studio First and a Theme park Second, Hollywood Studios is a Theme park always, and that's it's name and there is nothing wrong with that.

Either way, I think we've pretty much beaten this to death, let's move on, shall we.

Exactly. Nothing special, when it comes to having fun.

To the last part of your post, I already said that.

I AGREE WITH THIS! But I dont think the whole park has to be like this.

Reading this argument about your STUDIOS argument, I had a thought. Right down I-4 there's another STUDIO that is only a theme park. Surprised nobody mentioned that.

I had a thought like this. If there was still a backlot tour, the driver could say something like "This is where our Cars stars are shooting a brand new picture. Expect it soon!" when passing by Cars Land. After this whole thing is over, I'm going to post MY (seriously this time) idea and map for the new DHS.
