My 3rd Trip to Walt Disney World

Home Sweet Home
My 3rd Trip to Walt Disney World
May 14 –20, 2006

Three years ago, I took my second trip to Walt Disney World. Of all my trips, I have always considered that one the greatest. But as great as that trip was, it ended in heartbreak. I was ripped away from the world I belonged to and never knew when I would return. The only thing I knew was that I would come back when I was ready. There were so many things in my life to deal with then. Well, finally, the moment has come. I am ready to return. I am ready to come home.

The past 3 years have not been free from Disney however, Unexpectedly, I was blessed with not one but two trips to Disneyland, the original park. In fact, it became so that I spent far more time at Disneyland than any other Disney park. I had grown accustomed to Disneyland’s world, its version of magic. And now the question was with Disneyland’s influence, how would see the world that introduced me to dreams? It was a world, I’m sad to say, that I had forgotten much about. To say that the reunion would be interesting would be an understatement. This is the story of my third trip to Walt Disney World.

The funniest part is you retruned (after ditching him) to get a picture....How far did you get before turning around

Hey Vince I know dagged you out of MGM to EPCOT and then ditched you...but do you mind leaving WS, walk all the way to the front and take a picture with me :dazzle:

That's exactly how it went!

Aww, Vince, I don't know what to say. I have never read a trip report that made me laugh, then cry, then laugh again, then cry again and so on...

"Teacups on the Matterhorn" That was funny.

Oh, and Walter at the California Grill? He is our favorite waiter as well. He makes the best wine suggestions. We actually e-mail him before we get there so we can coordinate our reservations and make sure that he gets our table. I had the strawberry dessert too. :slurp: (Funny thing, it was just a few nights before. When I read Jerry's post about the flood, I was sitting in our room at the Grand Floridian. :) )

I'm glad you had a magical time!

Rob was able to successfully name all the Canadian provinces to the Canadian cast members and was given a “Le Cellier Trivia Winner” tag as a prize.

:lookaroun

:drevil: I know what I'll be winning at Le Cellier in August... :D

For the record, when we finished M:S, I took my kids to SSE while Vince and Jer went to Mexico and ate and drank margaritas. I didn't figure my kids wanted to sit and watch that.

Vince, it was nice finally meeting you.

Good grief Mer-boy. You know how to ramble on! Even if it does make for a fun read

;)

If you get creeped out by Haunted Mansion, wait till you see the Parisian version :drevil:

To know what is so special about Figment one has to have experienced the original Imagination ride with Dreamfinder. It's a shame you did not get to see it. I imagine it would have appealed to you.

You have no idea how bad I wanted to know how it went with the “snakes in the grass”. Without ever having eaten there, I sure know how to pick em. ;)

This picture made me say “awwww.”

Rain made me wear an Ariel tiara and pearl necklace and hold a Flounder plush so she could take a picture. Why does it seem like I dressed up like a princess on every trip?

Why do you let us do it to you? And where is THAT pic?

I felt as if I learned a lot from your TR…like skip Epcot. :lookaroun
I loved your report and it was worth the wait. :)

Vince - It took me 3 tries to finish reading this, but this was far and above the best TR I've ever read (OK, second to Gary's  ). You are soooo destined to live and work at WDW! It's just a matter of time now....:D

The snake in the grass could have been the best meal I've ever had at Disney.

Leave Aurora alone. Don't be jealous. ;)

I'll make a post later with "interesting" pics from the trip. Princesses like to be pampered. :lookaroun

Yeah, less time at Epcot means more real fun elsewhere! :D

Amen to that, Joe. Well said.

Yes... I was so sick of hearing about DL by the end of the trip. UGH. The constant bashing of WDW, and the constant comparing of DL to WDW was not really needed. :hurl:

:p

No... really... I was sick of it though. It got old... FAST!

Thanks! It was with a regular Canon Powershot A80. Nothing too fancy.
