You'd think they would have used the pop out Statue of Kermit that was used at DCA for their marquee..But, it looks like it's being used at the Henson Studios..
With the new sign and the renaming of the theater sort of ties in to the rest of the streets of America facades as it looks like a little town. Also the pizzerizzp building with it's billboard and gonzos toilet showroom bathroom make it look like a little town. The area should be called Muppets boulevard or something

Please tell me this is not the first step toward making the theatre more generic. Opening the door for replacing Muppet Vision with "preview trailer of the season" movie promotion clips. Or Marvel stuff. Or... ?

Once the banners drop, the scale will look better- particularly with the 2 small faux windows the banners are covering up.
But the height placement is beyond dumb if they don't put something else above it (which I feel would look bad). All they needed to do was raise that sign about 2-3 feet and it would've made all the difference in the world.

You know what's funny?
considering we just got gonzo's royal flush and pizzarizzo, I am pretty confident this is going to stay a muppets mini-land.
Plus the lamp posts block some of the sign the way you look at it
Is the mama Melrose Muppet takeover still on the table
That's it I believe.

It's a new sign that doesn't have any Muppet theming whatsoever and the letters could be replaced overnight if they wanted to. I'm sure it was well worth the expense to them.

Yep that's what I thought.
I forgot that plastering an attractions logo on the side of a building is the pinnacle of themed design.

Not it wouldn't. The upkeep for both were nightmares. Horizons needed updates and mechanical work BAD and the revolving table at Imagination was always needed fixing because it always broke.

This was honestly what I was expecting when it was first mentioned on here that there would be a new theater marquee. The fact that they spent money on a new sign and DIDN'T use some variation on the Muppet Theater as inspiration is why I'm concerned about what will become of the building.
