Muppet Mobile Lab returning to Epcot this week

They are building two new Muppet restaurants to go with the show at DHS. Muppet Mobile Lab actually makes sense in Epcot and Great Moments makes sense in Liberty Square.

People will literally complain about anything.
Don't get me wrong, the new/old offerings are awesome. I just think it would make the most sense for them to flesh out a theme park that doesn't have much to do where there is an area just for the Muppets.

It seems so odd for Disney to be adding so much Muppet stuff now.
After the last movie underperformed and the TV show failed, I expected Disney to throw the entire franchise down the Treasure Planet hole.

This must be stuff that's been in the pipeline for years.

The 2011 Winnie The Pooh movie underperformed, and Disney didn't pull Pooh and friends from the parks.

It should also be noted that Disney Junior is still running the "Muppet Moments" segments.

I must have missed this too... Can anyone expand on the rumor or plans?

As far as Muppet Mobile Lab, we were lucky enough to see it on the first go round. But I think it is awesome that they decided to pull it out of storage for more people to enjoy.
There is a permit that is for the mama melrose building (which it shares with pizzerizzo) that expires in November 2017.

You can't compare the two; the Muppets isn't the merchandising juggernaut that Pooh has been.
Prior the Lucas/Marvel acquisitions, Pooh was Disney's single most valuable IP. Until that changes, that's not going anywhere.

It's basically come out unofficially that it will be turned into another Muppet themed restaurant. My guess is that PizzeRizzo will have some basic pasta dishes along with pizza (nothing fancy, just spaghetti & meatballs, maybe lasagna), making another Italian restaurant a little obsolete.

This is not meant to start a rumor, but a certain drummer happens to share a name with a muppetless park. . . Too bad none of the other Muppets are based on Animals. If only there were plans for a certain area of the park nearly no one cares for. . .
Speaking of that area no one cares for, the return of the Muppet Mobile Labs makes Lucky the Dinosaur coming back look like a slight possibility.
