Isn’t Tokyo scheduled to get a new night parade soon? I seem to remember there being some discussion about a Dreamlights replacement and TWDC possibly buying that parade from OLC.
There's a rumor about Dreamlights in the next 5 years, can't tell you how strong it is......

PLEASE no more MSEP...time to permanently retire it for good and do something fresh... Heck, SpectroMagic was a lot fresher than MSEP and it was trashed. We do need a nighttime parade in the Magic Kingdom....and honestly after the disastrous EPCOT overhaul, they should add a nighttime parade aorund World Showcase too...Like the old Millenium parade... They have stopped doing engaging entertainment and wonder why EPCOT is becoming completely Booze and festival driven....

Yeah that clearly isn’t in the cards then.

Although it would be nice if TWDC would produce something of that quality. It’s clear imagineering can still do it when not hamstrung by TWDC (see the new BATB ride at Tokyo). But everything outside of that park gets value-engineered down.

Animal Kingdom while not designed well for a parade is begging for more things too, especially a nighttime something

Who approved the 1999 & 2010 moves to MK?

Also Steve, are we talking about MK here?????
Anyone who says they would pay extra to see a nighttime parade is both a fool and part of the problem (that Disney seeks to exploit).

TDA doesn't trust TDO with parades. Period.

And management doesn't want a nighttime parade at MK. The sooner people accept that, the sooner they can get rid of their emotional decision-making and actually do things that TDO is going to notice. You know, like stop going and stop giving them your money. If you make your money talk, their BS will eventually walk.
We can say anyone who pays 1k a night for any Disney hotel is a fool as well but are we? Lol.

Some of us are saying that, yes. But that's neither here nor there for this thread.

BTW - There's nothing funny about the fate of Spectromagic. 100% truth - It was left outside under tarps in an effort by someone in management to save money by not having it in an inside, enclosed and climate-controlled space.

I wasnt laughing at Spectro trust me im fully aware of that debacle and disgrace…

All im saying is this. If Disney ever decided to charge for a parade on Main Street. We both know it would most likely fully sell out sadly…

Got it, sorry about that.

Oh yes, Bob & Josh think there is no end to the amount of money people will give them.

PTN would drive locals to the park... but I doubt WDW management wants to run the parks late anymore.

Somewhere out there in an office building is a PowerPoint presentation on how moving the Electrical Parade to Animal Kingdom would drive attendance there at night.

Because DL doesn’t trust WDW to look after things.

No, but it’s why they’re hesitant to ship them east. When DL uses them is up to DL.

So either those at DL are being forced to give up one of the parades to WDW, or WDW is getting something different? Can’t be Dreamlights because Tokyo is still using it. There is however Hong Kong’s set of PTN floats that have yet to return.

I don’t think they’ll force TDA to give up a parade unless Mr. Skinny Jeans is being real cheep. Especially after the condition MSEP was in when TDO returned it last

PTN would be able to withstand multiple trips between the coast meanwhile if the 50 year old MSEP moves it likely would run till it falls apart or a full renovation which would mean more money to "Mr. Skinny Jeans":cautious:. PTN would be the cheaper route for the company unless they dont care about MSEP anymore which doesnt seem to be the case.

Pretty sure there was concept art for what looked like a DAK electrical parade animal themed float accidentally uploaded to an artist's portfolio a while ago
