I had my doubts of a Terminator without Arnold in it...

The Sarah Conner Chronicles is ok...pretty decent.

Christian Bale as John...well, check out this trailer!

I can't WAIT NOW!!!

Um, yeah, I'm nerdily excited about that movie. At first I was like "really? Can't we just let it go?" Then I saw that Bale was John Connor and figured that makes up for any lack of Arnold in it.

However, does anyone else find it rather stupid for them to be filming that in New Mexico during summer with such heavy costumes??

And um, I also have never seen Tron. :lookaroun

(>_<) at the lack of Tron viewings.

I really want to see Step Brothers (I love Adam Mckay movies, and Judd Apatow always knows what's funny. And Walk Hard! 'Nuff Said.) But with high prices, and a tight movie watching schedule (X-Files today, Fathom's one night showing of "Long Way Down" next weekend, followed by august's Tropic Thunder and Pineapple Express.) I don't know if I can get in.

Plus it's still killing me that I still want to see The Dark Knight and Wall-E again for a third viewing.
:dazzle:

Back To The Future is a no...after seeing the panel (and freakin' awesome digital screening of part 1) I think they gave enough reasons why a Part 4 would never work.

Anchorman 2 is in the works...

Would you say that Step Brothers is better than Anchorman?
I know... but we need it now! I can't wait anymore, it's been 4 years already.

And no, Step Brothers is definitely not better than the greatness that was Anchorman, but it's still extremely funny. I'd say #2 comedy of the year right now behind Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I'm sure that'll change with Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder though.

Agreed on both points, though the only way I can see Part IV is if they set it in 2045 when Doc's old as ever. :lookaroun

Ever seen Tom Wilson perform "Biff's Question Song"?

Yeah, it's awesome. He was just down here in South FL performing at the Ft. Lauderdale Improv... unfortunately I was not in town at the time.

Speaking of Tropic Thunder...I've become way more interested in this movie while trying to figure out how "Rain of Madness"will be released. (It's like the Apocalypse Now doc-u-making-of, "Heart of Darkness" but Tropic Thunder.)

Well. I'm sure you're not the only one... I liked it a lot but I have to admit that it was a bit too hyped up. Diablo Cody spoke at my school and I loved her but I'm not too sure about her next movie Jennifer's Body. It sounds a bit.... odd.

Ah come on...don't be so harsh :)

If not for anything else...she used the term "Pork sword"
 I dunno... wasn't really interested, but everyone was like "OmGzZ beSt MoVi EvAr!!!!.!!!" so I figured I'd give it a shot, thinking it'll be some great thing. I mean, I actually wouldn't say that I hated it, but I was definitely disappointed. Just not an Ellen Page fan either... everyone hyped me up about Hard Candy as well and that was also disappointing.

Nope! I didn't like it either. :)

Am I the only one who thinks Seth Rogen films are very overrated? I hated Superbad...
Again, nope. Didn't like Superbad, Knocked Up, etc.

I'm tired of movies from Will Ferrel, Seth Rogen...people like them. My friends told me to stay away from the movies, 'cause that's all that's out now.:rolleyes:

I saw it for the first time just the other day and thought that it could have been better. I liked the quirkiness of it, but how anyone could have so much attitude and still live to see 16 is beyond me. There were moments when her heart was in her eyes...and those moments were almost breathtakingly intense. But those moments rarely made it to her mouth. If only more real feeling was able to be shared...instead of so much chip-on-her-shoulder attitude that I failed to find charming...it could have been a really great film.

I know Juno was all about Ellen Page but I really liked Jennifer Garner in that movie. She made the film for me, especially since that part of the the story was the best IMO.

I'm even more excited for Terminator: Salvation after reading this article. I was waiting to see what the buzz from Comic Con would be and am happily not disappointed. The full trailer will be attached to Quantum of Solace on Nov 7 :)

Ok, just got back from X-Files! Firstoff I want to say, (In my best Simon Pegg voice) "I liked it."

Is it a great movie? nah. Is it a good old episode of the X-Files? Heck yeah! I never really cared for the first movie and the later episodes, and the story of this one is pretty much a return to the old "Weird mystery of the week" episodes, which I loved. If you've never seen/don't like X-Files steer clear, if you kinda' liked it: Wait for DVD, if you only liked the alien storylines: Go for the relationship. And if you're like me and just enjoy a good old-fashoned X-File: Sit back, and enjoy it like it's a Friday in the early 90's!

VIEWING SUGGESTIONS: Any theatre is fine, no real need for a big screen or kickin' sound on this one. I suggest you go out and buy a DVD out there called "X-Files: Revelations". It's eight hand-picked episodes from creator Chris Carter that recall the old episodes and are similar to the movie. You get a free ticket for the movie, so it's pretty much like paying a few bucks extra for 8 great episodes. Score!

FINAL "HIGHLANDER-ESQUE" RATING:

34 X's outta' 50!

Agree with you Servo...I saw the X-Files today and I really enjoyed it for what it was. I was/am a huge X-Files fan and I thought it did harken back to older episodes. Also, being a fan of the Mulder/Scully relationship (a "shipper" as it was back in the day), I was pleased with what the movie had to offer. :) I did find out there was something after the credits but we didn't stay. The kids who clean the theater were giving us the evil eye to leave.

All in all, not intended to be a huge movie but definitely for the fans. :D

Well, even though I didn't like either of the Mummy movies...it looks like I'll be seeing the new one.

Mom wants to go really bad and asked if I'd go with her.
