Move It! Shake It! to Run at Night

I still don't understand how a show that only happens three times a days....which altogether total it being onstage for about an hour,...can ruin so many people's days....I personally enjoy the show but if we aren't seeking it out to watch it we rarely run into it, we're almost always deeper in the park or somewhere else.

I am also baffled when people say it's cheap...five floats, loaded with pyro, TV screens, and a cast of about 50 is not cheap for a show, it's a major production. Be thankful it hasn't been cut yet either. No it's not a nigthttime parade, but by moving one of its showtimes to later in the day they're trying to temporarily fill that void.

Just because you don't enjoy it doesn't mean other people don't enjoy it, there's something for everyone and no need to discredit others because they enjoy something and you don't.

Yes, the same way others need to not discredit some of us that don't like it and think it's crap and a huge downgrade from what quality Disney has made a name for themselves in the Entertainment/Theme Park industry with.

The parade is fine for when it was being run. It is not a nighttime show. The frustration is that it should have never come to the point where it had to "temporarily" (LOL) fill a void. To remphasize the MK is the only castle park without a true nighttime parade.

I don't discredit 21, she does a good job doing it herself...

The parade was also supposed to die by about 2014 and never come back to life. Yet it did, and they keep extending it and now they're going to try to put it in the place of a "what could be" potentially awesome legit night parade. It's just a huge joke and shows that Disney doesn't give a crap in that respect and is laughing all the way to the bank because those that support this movement so their kid can dance to this (as another poster stated-tacky) "parade" are fine with it.

And people wonder why we can't have nice things.

I'm sorry I don't settle for crap like you apparently do.
We had a parade that was fantastic. It put a smile on my face everytime I saw it. Rather than replace it with something new and improved, they took something inferior and threw it in there to offer as a replacement. If you feel good about that then maybe you need to reconsider things.
So we went from Spectromagic (R.I.P) to this?

Paris is getting something for their 25th and I just forgot about Shanghi, similar to what TWDC wishes they did also.
No they aren't. The only new nighttime offering in Paris will be the Disney Dreams replacement. The Fantillusion returning rumor was unfounded and wishful thinking from the start.

It's not there now though. So, it's your choice to whine, moan, and let something like Move it Shake it negatively effect you.. or you can enjoy what is there- now. Or.. you could just not spend money at a place that you feel is mediocre. 3 choices to choose from..only two of them make sense.

Have a good evening :)
I would rather have an actual night parade that ran for 18 or 20 minutes compared to Movie It Shake It which is 18 or so minutes or a show stop and not what I would call a parade. Heck there aren't even that many floats.

I heard Fantillusion is suppose to return this summer

I genuinely hate to be the bearer of bad news...

On top of all this, the rumor came from a German fansite, said five new floats would be added, and the number of performers would double That kind of math does not add up.
I'm sure @marni1971 can clear it up.
Bottom line, unless Paris sends out a press release, don't even take the rumor with a grain of salt.

The way to enjoy Shake It is to look up a YouTube video of it and memorize the parade choreography (it's like only 16 bars). Then at the least, do the arm gestures as they go by. It will be fun. Imagine if the whole crowd was doing it at the same time.

I'll agree that WDW made a huge mistake in giving up one night parade without one to replace it. Or, at the least, with an announcement of a replacement. Didn't one of our insiders say expect something this year WRT a night parade (rather than waiting until the 50th anniversary)?

Fantillusion was being looked at, though I've not heard about new floats or more performers.

Running it though this year with another new fireworks show would have the same problems they had with Dreams in 2012.

Can anyone confirm if the Wishes replacement is to save money also?

It seems logical to rely more heavily on projections as opposed to pyrotechnics - I know Wishes has been around a while, but I would still think the parade should be the priority, being that there is not one.

I have a feeling that this parade will be the continuation of that darn castle float...

I've see a lot of reports on Twitter of crowds lining the streets waiting for a MSEP that is not coming, so is it possible that WDW is trying to appease those waiting around for a night parade by offering something?
