Maybe their minds just can't process the Magic Kingdom not having a night parade. Why would people wait for a parade that isn't anywhere on the times guides or website ?

Perhaps their friends or family experienced it and told them how wonderful it was on their trip last year or in the past. or maybe they watched a youtube video when planning their trip and were hoping to see a real parade after witnessing the dumpster fire that is known as Move It Shake It.Why would people wait for a parade that isn't anywhere on the times guides or website ?
What would be better (for the child), reviewing the times guide, clicking on FP+ options and making ADR's at midnight? Or pulling up Youtube videos of rides and parades so they can see them and get excited? Disney wants first time visitors. First time visitors dont understand every aspect of how the parks operate. They get on youtube and watch videos, not MDE and read every disclaimer and operational schedule.
The old 'ignorant first time traveler' reason? People who went on the website to buy tickets, maybe purchase hotel rooms..but never thought to click on the huge picture of what's going on in the park? Didn't take a times guide or map when handed to them., Or look at times of opening/closing/parades/shows...? But somehow they made it to MK...?Why would people wait for a parade that isn't anywhere on the times guides or website ?
They need to retire that castle float someday just like they did with the Winnie The Pooh float.I have a feeling that this parade will be the continuation of that darn castle float...
Yes and sadly that's actually happening.I've see a lot of reports on Twitter of crowds lining the streets waiting for a MSEP that is not coming, so is it possible that WDW is trying to appease those waiting around for a night parade by offering something?

Here's proof that this is a thing after I found these images from an article from touringplans.comYes, we should tell our children "Don't enjoy this parade! Boycott Disney by wrecking your own time in MK! That'll show them!"
Ps. I never saw anyone lining up for a phantom MSEP.
Perhaps they booked a Disney trip after seeing commercials and online videos of attractions like 7DMT, Splash Mountain, Frozen Ever After and parades like MSEP. So then they do click on the big picture of whats going in the park and with the staggering amount of info and planning needed, they felt overwhelmed. The old 'ignorant first time traveler' reason? Doubtful..but there's always the possibility..
Especially Spectro with the amount of detail put into the floats. Especially the finale and the beginning.I think the issue most people have is that they know the company can do better. I think it is great that you enjoy it with your child. Your making lemonade out of lemons, and that is awesome. I dont roll me eyes when I see "Move It Shake It", I sing along with the few parts I know. But when I stop to take a look at it, it just feels underwhelming.
Disney was smart to make a parade that gets the crowd involved because it saves them money on floats and extra CM's and Im fine with that. I enjoyed it the first few years it ran, but it has ran it course. Parades like MSEP and Spectro never get old because there is so much more to them compared to Move It Shake It. (*Judy Dench voice) ===> MSEP and Spectro were grand and miraculous. You could watch them 50 times and still find something new each time. Move It Shake It is clear case of "know when to hold em, know when to fold em".
I remember when WDW used to have an electrical parade it would be one of the main reasons why to stay at MK much longer at night compared to the day.c Can't that be done anywhere? I see parents dancing and laughing with their children in public parks too.
The nighttime parade is a big loss.
And SpectromagicI miss MSEP.
"Move It Shake It" strikes me as MYOP
(Make Your Own Parade)
They aren't used to WDW not having an electrical parade compared to DL which hadn't had one in over a decade. So they are stuck in the same situation DL had.Why would people wait for a parade that isn't anywhere on the times guides or website ?
Especially since it was supposed to be temporary. This "parade" is an abomination.

My wife is extremely reserved and not the type to dance in the streets of Disney. But the first time she saw Spectro, she couldnt help herself and she was twirling around with her arms in the air and the biggest smile on her face. I was lucky to have my camera filming the parade and I panned over to catch a few seconds of her completely engulfed in the magic. To see her so out of her shell and just enjoying the moment is truly one of my most cherished memories of our trips. I can hardly watch it without getting a little misty eyed.Especially Spectro with the amount of detail put into the floats. Especially the finale and the beginning.
Is the article saying that it happened in October or January? Here's proof that this is a thing after I found these images from an article from touringplans.com
