Families can't dance at MK?
They can do whatever they want, but I personally do not feel the dance parties belong in MK. They could hitch this high-school-homecoming-parade-caliber mess up and send it to DHS if they want, though. It'd give them an excuse to have one less perplexing Star Wars clip show each day. They could have Phasma pop out of one of the gifts if they wanted. Just no Jar Jar.

But there's other dance parties in MK.. Tomorrowland. Move it Shake it is just good fun..Families laughing, smiling, dancing, creating memories together...without waiting in line or an advanced reservation. Just curious, why don't you think dancing belongs in MK?

I'd hate to see it go away. Apparently I'm in the minority on these boards though.lol

Loud.

Clogs walkways.

Cheap and used as a distraction from the fact that there isn't enough compelling real content.

There is also an extreme incongruity in having pop music play on Main Street, USA. I actually find the atmosphere and traditional streetmosphere there to be adequately compelling.

THIS!! A thousand times THIS! Thank you @MansionButler84!

I also don't know how said parties are claiming this crapfest of a wannabe parade is "a great way to meet rare characters" o_O
First of all, if you are meeting characters during this parade then I'm missing something that you got to do in the 5 bazillion times I sadly had to cover my ears and watch this abhorrence go down MSUSA and around the hub.

IMHO--If you want to dance with CM's who are playing the part of wannabe 90's dj/rapmasters then please go to the club because that's the place for that kind of thing, not the MK's MSUSA./End rant

Zootopia characters. Phineas and Ferb. Chip and Dale. Etc. Unless I missed something, all characters are actually CMs.. parade or M&G.
Photo pass photographers walking around catching real pure, unposed moments of children dancing with the characters and their parents..

You don't have to like that. But it shouldn't be too difficult to understand why others do. Especially children.

I think it's fun.... do I ever plan my time around being in MK to see it? ... NO ... but it does put a smile on my face if I'm there and it just so happens to come around. Why not add it at night? I don't think it's there to replace what MSEP once was at WDW ... maybe just a fun filler till we get introduced to our next adventure.

... or two people who enjoy seeing their children happy. :).

And I bet they would be smiling even more with a true nighttime parade that wasn't just an existing time filler.

The problem is that you will always settle for mediocrity when there could be greatness. Disney could put a glow stick on a hot dog cart and wheel it up MSUSA and you'd rave about it.

No, I think it's a shame that people "Roll their eyes" at families having fun at a theme park. It's a theme park. A place for fun, for lightheartedness, for enjoyment. Impromptu dance parties are all of the above. It doesn't have to be a choice between a nighttime parade and Move it Shake it...people don't have to constantly complain about a "what if"...some can actually live in the moment that they are in.

Try it sometime. You might surprise yourself and maybe, just maybe, become a little less consumed with negativity.

it's not really "settling" when we literally have absolutely no choice but to accept it ...

I'm sorry I don't settle for crap like you apparently do.
We had a parade that was fantastic. It put a smile on my face everytime I saw it. Rather than replace it with something new and improved, they took something inferior and threw it in there to offer as a replacement. If you feel good about that then maybe you need to reconsider things.

Wow..way to judge someone Miss Perfect 21stamps. First of all, I have been to WDW enough in my lifetime to know what characters are and what CM's do in all aspects as well as who what when where and how the parade works. I see kids dancing on the curbs/sidewalks etc and that's nice, but it's a crappy wannabe parade. You don't seem to care though, so jokes on you.
I grew up with real parades at WDW like SpectroMagic! And you better bet your rear that I danced, sang along, giggled and smiled ear to ear during that parade on the sidewalk while it flowed down MSUSA spreading all of its magic; and gasp..it was a REAL parade; not what you mistake as today's version of Disney gives up and has many guests that don't know the way things are supposed to work and be grand and will settle for mediocre crap (raise your hand there 21!) and so they don't put the effort in. And for many of us, that's sad and unacceptable, but hey--as long as you and others like you want to have your money go to waste with crapfest loud block parties so be it, right?

It's not there now though. So, it's your choice to whine, moan, and let something like Move it Shake it negatively effect you.. or you can enjoy what is there- now. Or.. you could just not spend money at a place that you feel is mediocre. 3 choices to choose from..only two of them make sense.

Have a good evening :)

It's wonderful that you've chossen to settle for less. BTW it seems like more people are choosing options 1&3, so...

Come on I know you are not done yet. I know you're going to respond and try to get the last word like you always do.
