No the article mentions that this occurred on non-Halloween party events. Is the article saying that it happened in October or January?
Could they be lining up for the Halloween parade?

I'm more upset at MSEP for staying much longer then it should had been. Spectromagic was supposed to go under a major refurb back in 2010 when MSEP was originally only going to be at WDW for the Summer of 2010 and look what happened. Especially seeing how good Spectromagic looked during it's final years. The decision to cancel MSEP was disappointing. I don't see why adding a Move It... show compounds the problem. It certainly doesn't help much, but isn't it better than nothing (assuming it's temporary and that there will be a proper nighttime parade some time in the future)?
Hmm. I love Touringplans.. but I don't know about this one. MSEP ended in October, so maybe this was within a few nights..No the article mentions that this occurred on non-Halloween party events.
LOL, so you think I walk through the parks angry or something? That's funny.
When we go we go with the full expectation of having fun. We are, however, going far less often than before and for shorter trips than ever before.
So you're letting them enjoy it at some point. Because living in the moment is better than constantly being angry about something you can't change. Hopefully people can enjoy being at the park as it is now, it doesn't mean that you don't miss something that used to be there. It doesn't make you a traitor. It just makes you a person on vacation having a good time.
Now MISI can ruin the nighttime atmosphere as well.MiSi at night, too? View attachment 188839
I think the issue most people have is that they know the company can do better. I think it is great that you enjoy it with your child. Your making lemonade out of lemons, and that is awesome. I dont roll me eyes when I see "Move It Shake It", I sing along with the few parts I know. But when I stop to take a look at it, it just feels underwhelming.
Disney was smart to make a parade that gets the crowd involved because it saves them money on floats and extra CM's and Im fine with that. I enjoyed it the first few years it ran, but it has ran it course. Parades like MSEP and Spectro never get old because there is so much more to them compared to Move It Shake It. (*Judy Dench voice) ===> MSEP and Spectro were grand and miraculous. You could watch them 50 times and still find something new each time. Move It Shake It is clear case of "know when to hold em, know when to fold em".
Wait... Are you saying that you don't just willingly take higher prices and lower offerings with a smile and open arms, and you choose to vote with your wallet?!?!?!?!?
Something MUST be wrong with you.

I really love the music used for SpectromagicMSEP & SpectroMagic have soul. MISI and other such tripe trotted out as "entertainment" = Soulless.
I listen to it all the time. Usually with beer and sadness.I really love the music used for Spectromagic

Crazy, I know. But I'm willing to own it.
Seriously? A few years ago a friend had booked a trip and told me her husband planned for X night at DHS (pretty sure she called it MGM), saying that they would eat at HDB and watch Fantasmic, etc. I had to stop her and tell her that (at that time), Fantasmic was only showing a few times a week. She had no idea. If I had not told them, they would have gone to DHS, full well expecting to see Fantasmic that night. Of course in that case they would have had a clue when trying to go get seats for Fantasmic. The old 'ignorant first time traveler' reason? People who went on the website to buy tickets, maybe purchase hotel rooms..but never thought to click on the huge picture of what's going on in the park? Didn't take a times guide or map when handed to them., Or look at times of opening/closing/parades/shows...? But somehow they made it to MK...?
Doubtful..but there's always the possibility..
Seems to me Drizgirl is voting with her wallet: She said she was going less frequently and for shorter trips. No?You vote with your wallet by not not going. Going, and then complaining about what you willingly chose to do is just foolish.
Either don't go, or go and enjoy it.
But you just said that you still go..lol. Oh, but "less". So still giving them your money is making a greater and much more noble stand of "I'm not happy!"
But, in some weird twisted logic here- Enjoying something that is there currently is foolish bc it's "settling".
But, Continuing to go somewhere that you feel is mediocre is smart.
Perfect sense.
See above.

Not everyone is up to the minute on Disney minutiae. Not everyone even grabs a times guide or a map. Really.
