I'm more upset at MSEP for staying much longer then it should had been. Spectromagic was supposed to go under a major refurb back in 2010 when MSEP was originally only going to be at WDW for the Summer of 2010 and look what happened. Especially seeing how good Spectromagic looked during it's final years.

Hmm. I love Touringplans.. but I don't know about this one. MSEP ended in October, so maybe this was within a few nights..

The video posted on twitter could very well have been a group of people sitting on a curb...not waiting for anything. That's not too uncommon. Regardless, I think someone would have posted photos here if it would have happened in the past few months. Although it may possibly have happened the same week the parade ended..I haven't seen, read, or heard of it happening afterwards.

A woman also posted on Twitter that a version of the March on Washington was hosted by MK. That was untrue.

I have a love-hate relationship with MiSi. When it's the only place you can interact with your favorite character anymore (thanks to budget cuts), you have to take what you can get. :(

Disney was smart to make a parade that gets the crowd involved because it saves them money on floats and extra CM's and Im fine with that. I enjoyed it the first few years it ran, but it has ran it course. Parades like MSEP and Spectro never get old because there is so much more to them compared to Move It Shake It. (*Judy Dench voice) ===> MSEP and Spectro were grand and miraculous. You could watch them 50 times and still find something new each time. Move It Shake It is clear case of "know when to hold em, know when to fold em".

You vote with your wallet by not not going. Going, and then complaining about what you willingly chose to do is just foolish.
Either don't go, or go and enjoy it.

But, in some weird twisted logic here- Enjoying something that is there currently is foolish bc it's "settling".
But, Continuing to go somewhere that you feel is mediocre is smart.

Seriously? A few years ago a friend had booked a trip and told me her husband planned for X night at DHS (pretty sure she called it MGM), saying that they would eat at HDB and watch Fantasmic, etc. I had to stop her and tell her that (at that time), Fantasmic was only showing a few times a week. She had no idea. If I had not told them, they would have gone to DHS, full well expecting to see Fantasmic that night. Of course in that case they would have had a clue when trying to go get seats for Fantasmic.

Not everyone is up to the minute on Disney minutiae. Not everyone even grabs a times guide or a map. Really.

It has nothing to do with being up to date on Disney minutiae. It's about knowing where you're going. That could be Six Flags, Cedar Fair, Universal, or WDW.. or a zoo, museum, aquarium, shopping mall...etc etc etc.
pretty much any place that you are heading to...
I guess I just give people way too much credit.
All of the smartphones in that photo and none had the MDE app? Or checked the website for any times? How did they know when anything started? How did they know what time the park opened? I just find it hard to believe that the masses are as ignorant as people here paint them to be.
Do you honestly not check times and events when you are going somewhere? We drove 4 hours round trip to a science museum two weeks ago..a portion of the cost of one day at Disney. I'm not on the museum message boards..I don't follow them on FB or twitter... but I definitely checked their hours, show times, and grabbed a map and times guide upon arrival.
I noticed many other people with them as well..
We must be crazy for paying attention to such minutiae.
