Most Over Rated Restaurant At WDW.

Le Cellier and 'Ohana

Both not the worst restaruant on property (or even a really bad restaruant) but both by far do not come close to how "wonderfull" people claim they are. But then anytime I see a review that includes "soooooo yummy" or "all the ingredients were very fresh" I tend to take it with a grain of salt.

Actually - didn't say this over anything to do with the food, or even the decor... both are at least fair.
It's the MOB SCENE that's occuring over BOG :) - sort of reminds me of what forced WDW to rank LC as a Sig... :).
If it (MOB SCENE) continues it would certainly seem to be headed in the same direction of LC. We thought the decor/atmosphere was superb, and again, food was so-so. In fairness, the steaks were the only thing that were truly hit or miss.

Although I am not sure how they are rated star-wise, but Chef Mickeys was a very bland, rushed experience and Olivia's was horrible.
When did you last went to Oliva's? I went to Oliva's during my latest trip to WDW that ended on Sept. 5th. For me, the food tasted great. I had the special for dinner and that was buttermilk Chicken.

Hmm...I think we have gotten away from the OP's question about "Most Over Rated" -- now folks are just logging what they like and what they don't like. I don't think, if you look at most "ratings" that Le Cellier, for example, is rated ANYWHERE as anything better than a three-star restaurant (out of 5). Its popular because you get big portions and lots of us like our plain old meat and potatoes.
My personal vote for "most overrated" is Via Napoli. It gets mostly 4 stars in the press (out of 5)...and I think if that is representational for quality of pizza in Orlando, then just don't eat pizza in Orlando -- I can get better pizza any day of the week in different price levels in Ann Arbor where I live...and I used to live in NYC and NOTHING holds a candle to real NY pizza at any street corner pizzaria...or for the more gourmet, John's on Bleaker Street...but Via Napoli is a 3-star restaurant at best.

I live in NYC and IMO Via Napoli has excellent pizza. The same owners have Naples 45 here. Expensive restaurant with the same quality pizza.

Pizza shops on corners here have much heavier, oilier pizza with heavy cheese. I much prefer an authentic Neopolitan brick oven pizza like Via Napoli. To each his own.

Most over rated that I've eaten in- Tonys. The worst table service I've had at WDW. Horrible pasta.

It was a few years ago, we were one of like 3 tables. The service was slow and I honestly can't remember what I had to eat. I remember my daughter not liking her pizza. We stayed at OKW and we ate there on the first night and not again for the rest of the week.

What?? Pecos Bill has the best fixings bar on property, IMO. Even though they pretty much sell the same food that you can find anywhere else, the fixing bar makes it better than most places.

Why exactly don't you like it?

The last time I was there, the burgers were so dried out that no amount of fixings were gonna "fix" them. Your right it's not much different from other places, but the way some people rave about the place you would think they were going to be better. Instead they reminded me of rest stop Roy Rogers that was sitting out too long.

Yeah, I've experienced some dry burgers there, and other places, but it's never stopped me from going back.

Definitely Le Cellier, but I would also add O'hana. I love the atmosphere at O'hana but I thought the food quality was just fare. I will add that the new Mexican restaurant is not as good as San Angel Inn. I don't have daughters but a lot of my clients that go to the Princess meal at the Castle, a lot come back disappointed by the food quality for the price paid. But I guess you are paying more for the experience. From what I have been told the food is better at Norway for the Princess meals. Does anyone else feel that way?
We had a cruddy meal at the new Mexican TS- made ADR stating that it was our Disneymoon- of course they tried to seat us inches away from a toddler & family with Jr. having a major creaming fit. The hostess acted like we were demanding the world when we asked to be moved. Then the waiter was less than chummy the second that we declined wine or a big meal. Neglectful service and so-so food. The salsa tasted like tomato PASTE- acidy yucky & no discernible veggies:(

Le Cellier!!!!!! Never had a great meal there. Never horrible, but never good.

LeCellier was great when it ignored by guests for the other great dining options. Took too many ADRs for the tiny place it is and they couldn't keep the service or quality of food consistent. Solution make it a Signature restaurant with the same issues. oy.

The food at Ohana was mediocre at best and the service was not all that great either.

Ohana was better. They have changed that menu up so many times and never for the better. It lives off its old glory.

I ate at Mama Melrose in 2011 and it was probably one of my overall worst meals at Disney as well.
Mama Melrose is in my top 5 of worst meals put before me too.

My worst is Hollywood and Vine. I can't find a nice thing to say about that place and yet it stays. Disney should turn H&V into a quick service. They need another A/C QS option at the studios.

I have to say, about being possibly seated by kids....what do you expect? Your visiting Disney World, if you want a kid free Honeymoon, there are a million other places I would go to than Epcot. I think it's cool when people want to go to disney for a honeymoon and see the appeal, but at the same time its a theme park and happens to be one of the few places people can eat out at and not feel terrible their kid is having a meltdown. May I suggest Paris, New York, San Fran, Key West, Miami, San Diego, Bahamas..ect for your next honeymoon.

We have been lucky, all the meals we had at Le Cellier were really enjoyable, however having said that, I certainly don't think it's worthy enough to be called a Signature restaurant. Years ago, we went to Mama Melrose after reading great reviews online and it was one of the worse meals I have ever had at Disney (second to the now defunked L'Originale Alfredo di Roma restaurant). I read how much Mama Melrose's has changed, but I'm still afraid to eat there.

We ate at Mama melrose over Labor Day weekend...I did it for the Fantasmic Package figuring if nothing else Id get good seats for the show...it turned out to be the surprise meal of the trip..I'd never eaten there before and had no expectations...Id always seen it while T DHS but its tucked away in a corner and I often simply overlooked it. It wasnt overly busy that afternoon but we had a good waiter, I ordered the steak that is plated on a bed of Mac n Cheese, Nikki ordered some seafood compilation ( I adhore seafood..but she's part fish) at any rate..an hour later we left Mama Melroses very satiated customers..thinking how had we missed this place...It will be on my ADR over Christmas week..I seem to remember hot bread being served as well...which is always a plus...

I seriously need to reconsider this restaurant. My experience years ago was not a pleasant one, and the only other italian restaurant I ate at was Alfredo de Roma, and it was horrible so I kind of gave up on Italian restaurants at Disney, however, this past year, during F&W, we really enjoyed the offerings at the Italy kiosk.

I used to love their Osso Bucco and then it was removed from the menu. Recently it has shown back up, but I am not sure if it is the same recipe or not. Another treat that is not gone was they served fresh crusty italian bread with 2 differant dips. One was a nice traditional basil pesto and the other was a sun dried tomato version. I used to go there just to eat the bread and the Osso Bucco was just a bonus. The last time I was there was in October 2011, I had the oak-fired mussles and charred strip steak and finished it off with some spumoni and it was delicious. This restaurant may not be traditional Italian cuisine, but it has it's italian flare and the menu has a good variety of options that I have been continually pleased with. To me this is the best option by far if you are looking for a "F" dining package.
