I have to say, about being possibly seated by kids....what do you expect? Your visiting Disney World, if you want a kid free Honeymoon, there are a million other places I would go to than Epcot. I think it's cool when people want to go to disney for a honeymoon and see the appeal, but at the same time its a theme park and happens to be one of the few places people can eat out at and not feel terrible their kid is having a meltdown. May I suggest Paris, New York, San Fran, Key West, Miami, San Diego, Bahamas..ect for your next honeymoon.
Agree!

It is a toss up for me between Liberty Tree Tavern & Le Cellier. While Le Cellier serves good food, the price is well beyond the value of the food and service. The LTT to me simply serves cheap not so good food with no flare for a substantial price and no longer has characters. Both restaurants are typically booked well in advance which has always shocked me.

My most overrated restaurants are Jiko and Artist Point. Neither, in my opinion, are Signature restaurants, especially if they're going to be listed in the same category as California Grill. They're not even the best food option at their respective resorts.

lol...what the fixings go on top of....its not horrible..pretty standard burger and stuff...but Im not confusing it with T-Rex either

Neither am I, it's just that I've never actually heard people say it's bad. Yes it is just a standard burger, but it's better than McDonald's burgers, IMO.

PS- T-Rex has the best burgers ever.

We went to Liberty Tree after reading great reviews online & in the Unofficial Guide- what a vile, loud, greasy, cruddy service, cramped crock of poo. I wish we could have gotten that hour back from our lives- and our stomachs. Abysmal all around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:(

I agree ate there once because people rave about the place. Bad food smothered in gravy. Very disappointing

Did you consider that I didn't ask for an entire honeymoon free of kids- and that 95% of the tables were empty except RIGHT next to the meltdown? Is that unreasonable to wish to avoid screaming? I have a friend who faced being sat next to a table of loud drunks elsewhere in Orlando and was given a very hard time by the hostess. Does that mean she should have welcomed the screaming from the drunks? As far as vacationing elsewhere- this is obviously a forum for WDW loving people- not for those who wish to travel to all other destinations.

When I said I agree to your comments, you got it spot on.There are plenty of romantic places to have a honeymoon, and as a member recently pointed out,by posting photos of his trips to other destinations outside WDW with his daughters.

Le Cellier, its just a glorified steak house, when you can actually get the same kind of fare but better at Artist Pointe at WL. Also I would say the Brown Derby and Teppan Edo are overrated. They are nothing special you cannot get at home.

I'm so glad to see Le Cellier isn't the bees knees. I'm always really bummed that I can't get a table there. I haven't eaten at Be Our Guest but I've already read mixed reviews, so I wonder if that will be the new over-hyped place?

I'd have to say that the worst offender is Rainforest Cafe. I don't understand the fanfare! Olive Garden quality at best!

I haven't really eaten much within the parks. We usually leave the parks for lunch then spend the rest of the day there.

But I can't think of an over-rated restaurant that I have been there.

I think an under-rated restaurant is the Electric Umbrella at EPCOT. I know it's just a burger joint like Sonny Eclipse at MK but I always love to eat here. We always eat lunch here when we come to EPCOT. I like the atmosphere and the normal Epcot music that plays around it. It's in the center of Future World which makes it nice to come from any direction. It's also a really neat theme as well in my opinion! I think it should be refurbished and have less windows and more of a rain-scene atmosphere like the first scene in Living with the Land that'd be neat :)

The Brown Derby has turned itself around as of late. It's lunch menu is still way overpriced, but dinner has made some serious improvements.

Sorry, I did not know that the restaurant was nearly empty. You had not mentioned that in your original post, and well I have never seen that restaurant even half empty let alone 95% so you must have been honeymooning at an at a quiet time of year and at an odd hour, please share that time, cause it would be great to avoid the crowds that usually pack that place.

Really, you are insinuating that I lied? It was an early dinner/later lunch - in April. I would love to point out the exact date, but maybe then you would have more endless fun & frivolity agonizing over the infinite details & minutiae of my honeymoon.

Ditto - and an addition... if folks that are not that awed by Artist's Point have NOT been there in 2012? They have ALSO joined the "Signature Restaurant Road to Recovery"... new Manager (a KEY element, and this fellow is SERIOUS), two (I think) new Chefs, and a return to higher quality Beef in their offerings. They haven't brought back the Classic Cobbler... but, on it's third incarnation, they've done a pretty fair job with the Pot Pie version. This data from 11-2012... and we've re-booked for 4-2013.

The food and service at Artist Point is good there is no doubt..... however the portions are small and the prices are double the cost of the same quality meal elsewhere. I would rather eat at a resturant where I have a full belly and don't feel cheated when it comes time to pay the check. Disney's Signature Resturant = Good food at twice the price.
