Most Over Rated Restaurant At WDW.

To be overrated one does not meet the high expectations given to it via reviews and reputation. I see Sci-Fi, Mama Melrose, Liberty Tree and the likes mentioned. The reviews over the past few years I have seen have not been too kind (eaten at them in the recent past). Could restaurants like these even qualify to be overrated ? Possibly a better chance to be underrated.

With that said I will throw Via Napoli annnnnnddd Sanna in the overrated column - runs while objects are thrown at me :)

I will also add that I cant say I have had a really bad meal there. Bad service yes.
I hate Via Napoli just because it takes my family a half an hour to order a stupid pizza. o_O And they spend that half hour arguing. I pointed this out to them right we ate there last, and then they insisted that they didn't argue. Well, what'd they do? Argue. They saw my point, and we haven't eaten there since. I've never tried Sanna.

le cellier hands down, nt because of food, but atmosphere and service. well, the food is not worthy of that price tag either. a cramped dark inside room with no windows, in EPCOT, really, the views should be amazing, unless a dinner show or inside out like mexico.

Just been reading " Everything WDW " and lots of reviews of restaurants at WDW. There is a " Most over rated " chapter as well.So what restaurant at WDW do you consider to be "Over Rated" ? I know this may have been discussed before, but one just wonders.
I know this doesn't technically count, but Rainforest Cafe at DAK is abysmal. I'd rather eat what they feed the animals.

I definitely agree with you on Brown Derby. Not worth the hype.

But the cheddar cheese soup? You didn't like it? I always get it because it's my favorite. We also get the poutine. Canada: the only country in the world where they eat french fries, gravy, and cheese curds and it turns out good.

I'm glad you liked the filet. My mother always orders the steak with no mushrooms and Au Gratin potatoes instead. I will never understand it.

My brother and a friend of ours got another steak on the menu- I forget the cut, but sat there making pouty faces at the rest of us with the filet cause it was good, just not THAT good! And don't get me wrong, I liked the soup, I just didn't get the Beer Cheese Soup euphoria many seem to ;) Most in our group raved over it though.

Almost anything at HS, except for the Derby, Starring Rolls and the place with the bar in the back of the park. Sci-Fi is a great place, ok food. Ditto Prime Time although the food there is better. Everything else is to be avoided.

Epcot-The QS joint right by the fountain. Both Chinese restaurants. The American Pavilion. Coral Reef has slipped a bit. La Cellier not over rated as a one stroke on DP. Overrated at a two. Land Grille is ok, not great.

MK- The Castle. Overpriced. Ok food. No alcohol. TT and PVH are not very good. Nor is Tony's.

AK- Everything here is at least passable with some good QS places. Not really a standout TS here though in our minds.

It might have been the Rib Eye. I always get the filet because it's absolutely the best, and when you have something that good on a menu, I don't see a reason to change up your order. I love mushrooms and I love filets. I only eat NY strips, Filets, or Prime Rib and will generally pick filets. Canadian Cheddar Cheese soup is impossible to resist for me, and my cheese addiction. The Maple Creme Brulee is fantastic too.

I think Kona is over rated. It's the atmosphere that does it for me. It's too open to everyone walking by or waiting for a ressie at 'Ohana just hanging out watching. I'm just not a fan.
