More cuts-napkins gone blank

Lets hand out crayons and see how creative the guests can be. Disney can find their next group of animators by judging the colorful napkin designs behind the ketchup/mustard stains.

This is not news.... WHO CARES!!!! and if it saves a couple grand they can put in into splash mountain animatronics....
Unfortunately that's not the way it works.

Money saved in in one department is not transferable to another department.

Any savings in a department is generally rewarded by a hefty year end bonus to some divisional chief.

Not a prayer, any cut represents a one time bonus push to management for which the dollars are eliminated from next years budget at the cost of the guest experience.

Thats not the point... If disney wanted to outdo the waffle house they would have prestine white napkins like in a sit down restaurant. The point is its a napkin and its not important to me it goes into the garbage.

I knew i shoulda kept my mouth shut

For those who say "its no big deal" sorry you just dont get it. Yes it may just be a napkin..... today. But what will it be tommorrow? It all adds up. The small things is what makes it the "Disney Difference" The yeti, the AA's etc etc.
All in the name to make cuts. It's the total guest experience that make the difference. I guess I might be weird but I do have several napkins we saved as a keepsake from many of our visits. We write the date and what resturant we were at. We have a picture to go with it. First it is changed from resort/attraction specific to a generic "Disney Parks" then to out of the box white napkins. If this isnt decline by degrees....nothing is. So to those who say its no big deal.....your not looking at the big picture. If it is just a mistake fine.....I can live with that.

I have been to disney 43 times and im only 28. 44th trip in 85 days. So i do know the disney experience i was brought up on it. Cast members from the adventurers club have watched me grow up and have always stoped during other performances around the park to acknowlede me and say hi. All im saying is that there are other issues to be worked on and to care about and other experiences that makes the disney experience. Everyone always says its the little things and it is definatly. But to say that a napkin doesnt have a certain logo on it is a bit much for me anyways. I understand you can say it starts there and then escaledes to other things. Anyways forget i even said anything.

- This is a WDW site. We obsess about napkins. Meanwhile over at SteamTrainMagic.com the people obsess about two working steam locomotives they found in Yucatan. Eh, it's what fans everywhere do.

- Napkins are important. They aid in immersing you into a world. And escaping into fantasy worlds is the entire magic of WDW. Don't laugh at the small stuff, the tallest buildings are erected of small stones.

- If the blank napkins are a shipping issue, then whatever. If they are deliberate, then it is a decline by degree. (Number 166035?)

- Personally, I think the current napkins are somewhat ugly. Wouldn't mind a different design (Well lots of different designs)

Wonder if the people saying "it's no big deal" would be saying the same thing if Disney just started using plain white Dixie paper plates and cups.

There's a reason why for as long as any of us can remember, napkins, plates, cups have all had some Disney stuff on it. It's obviously a big deal to someone.

Really were you going to the Adventurers Club when each club had its own specific napkins, including the AC? Because I was. This is how it starts, one slip at a time. Enjoy your view of the shrubbery out in front next trip.

I rest my case...

Speaking of six digit counts of declines, did you see my post about a decline timeline on the thread lebeau started on the parks board? Does such a thing exist?

So people are now adding non-specific napkins to the whole declining by degrees garbage? Um, at least you are still getting napkins?
