Courtyard is earmarked for development in the future, but as it stands right now, for some ungodly reason despite all common sense and logic, they decided Muppets would be the place to put this.

Wasn't the $60bil supposed to INCREASE capacity?
You would think. But this is Disney. Whatever makes the least sense, that's the route they will probably go.

It doesn't make sense to remove a non star wars IP that has a massive cult following for another non star wars IP in-between a star wars ride and a star wars land- while launch bay is sitting there without a purpose.

We haven't been to the parks in a few years and we're going back in May. But I may have to pack the family up for a day/weekend trip soon to see my favorite thing in disney world one more time if this turns out to be true 😭

Not Apes, not Alien, not even Avatar is getting the full on integration Simpsons has got since they bought Fox. Disney obviously has them on a pedestal.

Wouldn't be shocked if Apes and Alien end up in the parks by the end of the 2030s though.
Moth, question if you don’t mind. You said that you’d only accept MV3D’s closure if a new muppet thing was added. With the rumors shaping up to be that way, does your view still stand?

Knocking over a beloved institution of the park like Muppetvision while Animation Courtyard sits rotting where it is is just an utterly absurd notion. Surely not?

Like, I get that everything has its time, and the park shouldn't be a museum, but there are so many better options right this very second!

Geographical logic in terms of attraction/land placement went out the window years ago. So replacing Grand Avenue with Monsters would be par for the course for Disney. If it went in Animation Courtyard, it’d be in the same general area with Pixar Place and TSL. That would make too much sense.

And as much as some might not like it, Springfield is a very good match for the overall vibes and aesthetic of DHS.
