I know Disney wants Moana in every park, but I missed that one for the MK.Is the consensus that Moana for MK is dead completely or still alive but will be announced at D23 2026?
If I were a betting man (and I am lol) my money would be on Moana in AL being the big announcement for D23 2026 when it comes to WDW announcements--plus more information on stores/restaurants/rides for Villains LandIs the consensus that Moana for MK is dead completely or still alive but will be announced at D23 2026?
Genuinely baffling to me that, with the new Moana movie and Polynesian Tower coming out this winter, that they didn’t prioritize new Moana attraction at MK over new Cars ride…but maybe they’re trying to time the release of a new Moana attraction with the 3rd or 4th movie in the series…or the next DVC tower on the monorail loop?If I were a betting man (and I am lol) my money would be on Moana in AL being the big announcement for D23 2026 when it comes to WDW announcements--plus more information on stores/restaurants/rides for Villains Land
Construction should be well underway on Monsters Inc and Cars, so probably opening "years" for those as well.
I think GMR was a joke tbh. No way they’d bring back GMR, and in EPCOT no less. It just makes no logical sense with how Disney parks are run. Also, it was in a general discussion thread, not a rumor thread, if that means anything. Like others have said, mix of truth and jokes imo. I think we all might’ve gotten carried away yesterday.CoP and GMR do seem unlikely.
If Moana is a beloved IP, which I firmly believe it is, then it really doesn't matter when it opens.Genuinely baffling to me that, with the new Moana movie and Polynesian Tower coming out this winter, that they didn’t prioritize new Moana attraction at MK over new Cars ride…but maybe they’re trying to time the release of a new Moana attraction with the 3rd or 4th movie in the series…or the next DVC tower on the monorail loop?
Also, I can confirm that Daft Punk will be doing the music for TRON: Ares.
it got up and danced away.
I've kept my mouth shut, but I do believe that the majority of "insiders" on our beloved forums these days are just aggregators of different rumors they heard on the Internet who are trying to build up a reputation for themselves as an "Insider" for attention. Being a "Disney Insider" is a whole occupation for a lot of people these days (see YouTube). We seem to have a swath of people who are stepping over that line willfully for attention. I don’t love it because it clutters up the facts with fiction.
how do you fit a whole land into an air conditioning unit?Yes there is. I already told you it's going into AC. - Mystic.
CoP and GMR do seem unlikely.
Unless GMR means an IP-ification of SSE. But I don't think they're that stupid+Henry said before that SSE 5.0 won't be an IP fest.Great Movie Ride was originally planned for EPCOT in the 80s. I think there's about a 0% chance any version of it is ever built there now.
I enjoyed this comment. You might say I'm a big fan.how do you fit a whole land into an air conditioning unit?
By all accounts Frozen Ever After in Hong Kong (and soon to be Paris) still has an extra minute and depth to the scenes that EPCOT doesn't have. With that said, the updated ride was rendered antiquated almost immediately when Tokyo opened.Yeah, the one in Hong Kong is just a slightly plussed version of the one from EPCOT, which I think is a bad ride.
The one in Tokyo is a completely different attraction. It's still a boat ride and about Frozen, but it's very little like the EPCOT ride otherwise, except that they kept the getting pushed backwards during Let It Go scene.
These jokes are heating up now.I enjoyed this comment. You might say I'm a big fan.
There have also been test ballons around the Muppets area. Those also appeared behind the old ITTAB building not too long before it was shuttered for AC. Thats the giveaway IMO to it being Muppets.By all accounts Frozen Ever After in Hong Kong (and soon to be Paris) still has an extra minute and depth to the scenes that EPCOT doesn't have. Bringing this back to Monstropolis, my suspicion is that Muppets is the target because they don't need as much space for this. Animation Courtyard opens up a larger area of land that is likely earmarked for something else. Pure speculation on this, but there are rumors that Universal may be moving on from Marvel Super Hero Island, could this be pre-emptively set aside for an Avengers Campus?
Does that include me? Have I been wrong ever????
No disrespect, but this kind of response is the problem. You made a big deal a few weeks ago about how transparency from insiders (or “insiders”) is vital, and here you’re doing the complete opposite. Having legitimate information is totally different from just guessing based on trends. The fact that you’re obfuscating makes me think you’re just throwing things at a wall — which is fine! It’s just very mixed messaging.I'm henry mystic, you do the math based on my record, lol.
