I still think it’s somewhat nice that for at least a few weeks, we all put our differences aside as a fandom to collectively pull an “I am Spartacus” and stood up for the muppets and muppetvision 3D.

I only did that until someone defended the trash panda currently voicing Kermit. It’s no small wonder that Piggy divorced him. Any damn frog is a step up. Naveen is a step up and he’s an arrogant, penniless cad.

Listen, I would rather have someone else too, but i kinda realized we should just move on and accept it for now. Seeing some people’s (not naming names) refusal to leg go of certian things kinda made me realize that

That being said though, he does sound like family guy Kermit.

Realistically though, if not monsters, I think muppetvision 3D is going to be closed in the next few years still. Grand avenue is still in need of update, and if they’d plan it once, they’d plan it again.

To me, the key is that they build and add other stuff first before losing the MV capacity. I also would like to see them put the money to demolish the backstage buildings (animation offices etc) because once they do that, they will definitely move forward with developing that space

I doubt the next few years. They have like 5 huge projects to work on that are supposed to be done in the next 5 years. I'd guess you get at least 5 years out of Muppets if they don't close for Monsters. The real question is, would moving Monsters increase it's size, or are we going to lose a much bigger land because of it. I've said it multiple times, but the mistake was rushing into what should be phase 2 or 3 of the park expansion with this.

Thi is the issue with chasing only synergy.

Since we're on the subject of the puppets' voices...how come Miss Piggy is voiced by a man? And Janice the hippie girl? Why aren't women doing those voices? The Muppets seem to be an all-boys club when it comes to their performers. Pretty sexist and misogynist if you ask me. After all, it's expected now that a black person must voice a black cartoon character, and so on. So why isn't Miss Piggy being voiced by a female now? And Janice? Surely there are female puppeteers out there who could handle it? Wow. Sexist indeed. I'm only half-kidding here. I think it's a good question.
Because its called acting ;)

Man, sometimes it feels like the Disney Parks planning meeting goes like this: "Hey guys, I have a great idea! What if we close everything great and then replace it with stuff exclusively from the last twenty years?"

That’s a bit of recency bias, but we’re on a fairly typical turnaround to major park installation on these franchises.

Monsters Inc is actually 22 years old, Indy 43. When it was installed in Disneyland it was only 14.

Not to mention the mixed bags of Villains is probably going to skew fairly old.

Based on your previous posts I would say you are not kidding at all.

It is a bit different then just recency bias. Now things only get approved if something is rushed/shoehorned in for sales or because the timeliness of the next installment release. All amped because no in park IPs anymore.
