I like Dragonflier. It is a lot more fun than I expected. So that type of ride with a theme could do well.Right. But it's the same ride system.
The elevator lift is essential to the ride’s story.Oh yeah! That’s probably the easiest thing to cut from the project though…. I hope it makes it cause that show scene has lots of potential
It's required to fit the coaster into the space, and as mentioned a part of the story.Oh yeah! That’s probably the easiest thing to cut from the project though…. I hope it makes it cause that show scene has lots of potential
Probably takes the same amount of space, I’m not arguing against it - I’m saying I really hope it happens since it looks cool. It's required to fit the coaster into the space, and as mentioned a part of the story.
People are talking about the suspended roller coaster for that land.Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios
Please stay on topic. Thank you.
Yes. They’ve finally moved away from awful headbangers. It is wild how good Vekoma has gotten. Dragonflier and Big Bear Mountain Coaster are great examples. I hope Monsters is as smooth.
I’d imagine it has to be given how essential the door’s rising up to go to the vault is, Josh even made a point of saying it on stage. The elevator lift is essential to the ride’s story.
And are now becoming sought after for a variety of thrills and are very reliable while doing it.Yes. They’ve finally moved away from awful headbangers.
I think one of the other factors was that Monster Inc land can drop easily onto the MV/Star Tours footprint, whereas the AC area can be built out in a much more meaningful way for a more aggressive future expansion.Absolutely. The issue with AC is it would cost more because they’d need to build more and build offices elsewhere…and still have an empty Muppet Courtyard area.
You Sir are a teaseWhat if, one day, DHS had more than 10 rides?
I was making a general remark, not pointing to specific posts. Discussing the coaster system being considered is OK - straying into discussions about other parks/attractions is not.People are talking about the suspended roller coaster for that land.
There have been proposals for coaster trains that temporarily separate their cars but I don’t think they’ll do that on a suspended coaster using lifts. RotR reveals the perils of stringing together too many ride systems, even if the result can be really cool.Is there a system that allows each individual car to lift and the join together as a train?
Not really the same but for elevators you have Cobras Curse in Busch Gardens Tampa which takes 2 cars up at the time which is that rides “train”. And for drop tracks you have hagrid or verbolten in BGW that would share that system.Do we have instances of elevator lifts for entire trains? I guess the drop tracks on Hagrid’s are similar in principle.
I hope this novel element isn’t a source of significant downtime. This should have some impressive AAs that will have reliability issues of their own. Can’t run the ride if the Mike Wazowski that interacts with your train has gone limp. I suspect this concern will cause some characters to just appear on screens placed in doors.
Probably no reason they can’t elevate with a track that can drop. It’ll look a little strange looking to your side and seeing another track falling as you rise, however. Can’t avoid that in a big room, though. Not really the same but for elevators you have Cobras Curse in Busch Gardens Tampa which takes 2 cars up at the time which is that rides “train”. That could be fairly cool though and a little trippy. I think I'd like that! MarieProbably no reason they can’t elevate with a track that can drop. It’ll look a little strange looking to your side and seeing another track falling as you rise, however. Can’t avoid that in a big room, though.
It’s a good thing there are no recent examples of that which would be cause for concern.Do we have instances of elevator lifts for entire trains? I guess the drop tracks on Hagrid’s are similar in principle.
