Has there been any update on the "Avenger-rail"? I am quite curious as to how it will look considering it has BLACK cabs... Perhaps the flying characters will be flying down the side of the train? As much as I hate seeing FULL body wraps, the TRONorail was cool... If they had characters flying 'alongside' the train, that would be kinda cool too...

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
We are discussing this as adults (well, some of us are), but just ask the kids.
We were in WDW when the Stitch monorail was running. My boys LOVED it. They even liked the balloons a couple years back.
Unfortunately, we missed the Tron wrap, so I just Google imaged it and thought it looked amazing!
To me, it's one of those things that doesn't really hurt anyone, and actually delights many of the younger ones. It's not a permanent thing and certainly not worthy of some of the nasty comments this thread has evoked.

So? Kids could find any number of breaks in story cool. What set Disney apart is that they did not rely on such excuses and delivered a better product that was intended to be appreciated by adults as well.

Think for yourselfer
Why not just slap balloon stickers on everything, shop windows, the roof of Space Mountain, Splash Mountain Logs? Kids love balloons. Better yet, give all the kids those rolls of Mickey stickers and let them stick them wherever they want. They will have so much fun. And WDW is for kids anyway right?

It's not just kids. I'll be 43 in 2 weeks and think the current design of the monorail trains are BORING. I loved the Tron wrap and am looking forward to see this one. I wish they would quit doing it 1/12 @$$ and wrap the whole fleet! As I did earlier in the thread, I'll go ahead a flame myself. :fork: :fork: :fork:

When one sees boring, another sees a sleek and elegant design when maintained correctly. Not everything has to be exploding into your face.

That's why there's a rock, hip-hop, country, jazz, etc. tabs in iTunes; everyone has different opinions.

The white color is perfect for Florida's sunshiny weather and beachy scene that it goes around mostly, and with the single colored stripe is perfect for the WDW monorail.

Alright guys, seeing as noone has answered my question but argued with each other instead, I'LL update Y'ALL... Sorta.....

The link below will show the Avenger-rail kinda up close but it's kinda blurry and the train is still not ready, but I noticed the funky paint job that was near the cab door...

Looks like all the AC vents have been removed. I wonder if their going to paint them or leave them white like they did with Tron.

Has anyone by any chance heard anything about Monorail Red's wrap? Is it FOR SURE going to be the Avengers wrap? I saw the 'computer animated wrap concept art, but it does not include the black cabs... I think though if the characters were in a flying position facing the forward motion of the train, that would be kinda cool... Thoughts??

While that would look good for them to be in a flying position, if the train is on the resort beam and has to go the other way it would look odd. Might be better to have something that works both ways.

Rumor was it was supposed to be on the Magic Kingdom loop.

Yes but the Magic Kingdom loop usually refers to both express and resort. Also as we learned with the Tron monorail is that even if they intend to only leave it on one beam the current monorails just aren't reliable enough to ensure that a train can stay on one loop. The Tron light cycle looked kind of funny going backwards, I was there to see it a couple of times when it was on resort beam.

I'm with you... absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's not for the purists but you better believe every time the Tronorail came around, everybody was pulling out the cameras...

At least they are staying with the entertainment value... and not doing a DVC wrap...

It will be on for a year or less... and only wrapping one... just have fun people...
