Monorail to be wrapped once again

I'm with you... absolutely nothing wrong with it. It's not for the purists but you better believe every time the Tronorail came around, everybody was pulling out the cameras...

At least they are staying with the entertainment value... and not doing a DVC wrap...

It will be on for a year or less... and only wrapping one... just have fun people...

I don't think its fun to have a tacky billboard wrapping the monorail.

It's not just kids. I'll be 43 in 2 weeks and think the current design of the monorail trains are BORING. I loved the Tron wrap and am looking forward to see this one. I wish they would quit doing it 1/12 @$$ and wrap the whole fleet! As I did earlier in the thread, I'll go ahead a flame myself. :fork: :fork: :fork:
:fork::fork::fork::fork:

When one sees boring, another sees a sleek and elegant design when maintained correctly. Not everything has to be exploding into your face.
Thank You!

The white color is perfect for Florida's sunshiny weather and beachy scene that it goes around mostly, and with the single colored stripe is perfect for the WDW monorail.
I quite agree! And to me they make the trains look more uniform.

Wrong I heard it's for the new release of The Cat From Outer Space in 3D!:p
Really? May I see your source please? That would be interesting...

Yes but the Magic Kingdom loop usually refers to both express and resort. Also as we learned with the Tron monorail is that even if they intend to only leave it on one beam the current monorails just aren't reliable enough to ensure that a train can stay on one loop. The Tron light cycle looked kind of funny going backwards, I was there to see it a couple of times when it was on resort beam.
True, true, I heard about the TRONorail going backwards, and that would look odd... Then again, I figured they would have made a 'TRONORAIL', making the monorail looks like it's from the movie, but it was cool nonetheless.

I agree but don't at the same time sadly... Only wrapping one, that's cool. The TRONorail was cool. But full body wraps seems like a plea for attention...

I agree with this for sure. They don't need to be used as billboards, they look good the way they are!

Looks like all the AC vents have been removed. I wonder if their going to paint them or leave them white like they did with Tron.

In all actuality, after looking, 4 of them were painted blue for the TRONorail... The 2 directly behind each cab were painted...

And now if Disney's Vacation Club offers to pay for a wrap, on what grounds should the offer be turned down? Why is the money from Disney's Vacation Club not as good as the money from Walt Disney Pictures or Marvel Studios?

Excellent point. Where does the line get drawn?

Those were painted as they are just part of the cab that was painted. The others they just cut the stickers around them. Perhaps with this design they have a different plan for them so that they match better.

No, all four. If you look at the pictures, the AC Vents directly next to the keypad on both sides on either end have been painted blue. In each video and picture it shows they are blue...

have you ever hearsd of modifications as time goes on?

again I say - one tronorail. :brick:

I don't believe nace888 was ever saying there was more than one tronorail. He was referring to the number of AC vents on the train that were painted.

Precisely. The link to the photos that I posted a couple pages back shows Monorail Red with it's AC Vent covers removed. That's when s8film40 mentioned that they did the same for the TRONorail, and left them white. I just happened to point out that 'Hey, not all of them were white, four of the AC Vent covers were painted blue. I was not saying there were 4 TRONorails, trust me, I know there weren't.

Sorry for the confusion though!

Honest question: WDW isnt allowed to use Marvel characters due to the licensing issues with Universal. But, they can wrap a monorail?

@InsidetheMagic - I'm told the Avengers monorail will be on the Magic Kingdom & resort lines, not Epcot due to legal restrictions

I'm guessing that is because the Epcot monorail actually runs through the park, which would be considered the use of Marvel characters within WDW theme parks. The resort and express never cross into a park so I guess that is why it's ok to run on those beams.
