Perhaps. It wouldn't be the first time the forum has latched onto a falsity because it fit a narrative. I would think you've not been immune to its siren song more than once... :)

I give people the benefit of the doubt until I don't. This place has been educational in many ways.

No, they were up prior to this incident. It does make me wonder if something happened before that wasn't reported. Sort of a "we said not to do this" kind of move?

It's literally a generic bus sticker. Some of the buses around Pittsburgh have those same or similar stickers.

Let's hope it is just a coincidence and the warning is related to guest behavior rather than a decision to address faulty door locks with a sticker.

Maybe guest behavior was the issue. Seems odd after decades of operation this is suddenly a major problem.

It's also been written at the top of each door forever, in Spanish on the left side and English on the right. Not that it can be assumed that anyone would read text alone.

Any reason why?
When I was a pilot back in the day there was a feature called the "door loop" which would inhibit motion if any door or hatch were open or registering as open. Even if a door or hatch were registering as open, there was something called "door bypass" which the pilot would enable, but only when directed, which would allow the train to move but at a max. of 20mph. As the video shows the train was operating at normal speed.
