News Monorail Red in motion with guests on board and doors open

Most people do not realize those phones are there, sadly. Especially when they are busy in their phones. I worked in monorails back in '09 and it always baffled me that when guests left a belonging on the monorail most could not tell me where they were coming from or what color monorail they rode because, believe it or not, they did not notice they had colors.

Being a WDW vet and going with my fiancée, her first trip, was really eye opening. I think we take it for granted that we know where everything is, how it all works and how to navigate the property.

She is a smart lady and was completely overwhelmed by the crush of people, the size of the place and just the motion of everything going on. Its easy to miss details when you are confused and bewildered by, what would be to an outsider, absolutely insane things to see and do.

There is a whole branch of psychology dedicated to this...Just watch this simple movie.

@MisterPenguin It's funny you both mention the stickers and monorail pilot speech, I first noticed those when we we went last Tuesday. I mentioned it to my wife "Look at the new warning sticker, I wonder if they've been having problems." Pretty chilling coincidence.
Let's hope it is just a coincidence and the warning is related to guest behavior rather than a decision to address faulty door locks with a sticker.

OK, if you noticed them Tuesday, then it wasn’t a reaction to this, but obviously possibly connected to an overall problem.

Hopefully it’s addressed quickly. I’ve been in some pretty packed cabins and this could be extremely dangerous.

I can only assume that the stickers were a reaction to a problem they discovered during testing or maintenance. You can bet that there's someone on one of those departments saying "I told you so" this morning.

Was there ever any credible confirmation that this was true? If it was, I highly doubt it was as simple a deal as the rumor said, that Disney would get the trains for free if they allowed them to be Siemens banded.
A month after the story broke @marni1971 stated that he wasn't aware of a monorail component of the deal. Not sure if that changed or not.

Lots of people asked in that thread and no one seemed to be able to provide a definitive source, but as I said then:
It doesn't matter. It fits the rhetoric, so now it is seen as fact. Whether it's true or not.

So yet another fake meme. Shocking.
