You hit the nail on the head.

The 2 maintenance men specifically in charge of lighting around Future World sleep most of their shift in the tunnel breakroom every night. They don't check lights themselves but simply wait until they get a call on their radio before they head out to fix something. Must be nice making $25/hour to do nothing but sleep. :fork:

What's the use when the maintenance supervisor knows they do it? They don't hide the fact that they sleep either. If you to hear the TV on your break over their snoring you'd better pick a different breakroom.

Work 40 hours a week? No. On the clock 40 hours a week? Yes. I've been working there over a year and a half and I've seen them actually "work" only twice.

Unbelieveable.

They're getting paid 25 bucks an hour to change lightbulbs and they're too lazy to even do that??? That explains why the rib lighting on the SSE supports has been iffy as of late...

If Disney needs someone new, I'll gladly replace them and within a week Future World will be the brightest you've ever seen it!!! :D

The Universe of Energy rib lighting issue shouldn't have anything to do with maintenance, because it simply isn't there. It's something they needed to reinstall when they unrepainted the ribs, but didn't.

That's maintenence-ish....It should be back.

Yeah, all the lovely little lighting details are disappearing. Norway's Stave Church is another offender... :(

Yep. Pitch black in December.

The good old days

Ah yes, the irony of the fact that WDI of the 1980s was able to accomplish more than WDI of the 2010s—and that TDO of the 80s viewed the resort as a world-class destination that should be improved, while TDO of the 2000s seemed to see only dollar signs.

I shouldn't have watched that online video of the old Living Seas today; as much as Nemo breathed life back into the pavilion, the place no longer has a purpose. Turtle Talk with Crush is about as educational as the Mad Tea Party.
