Mommy, why did they tear down Mickey Mouses house?

Two new characters to be joining the Disney Family. Homeless Mickey and Homeless Minnie, each in town clothes and pushing a shopping cart.

Excellent.

You can have a meet and greet with them under the Adventureland Bridge, where they now currently live.

I think what will truly make me fear for my life more than anything like Mickey's house being gone, is being in Fantasyland once the expansion work has started and Dumbo is closed.

I bet the complaints that Guest Relations would get for that are way more horrific than anything they've gotten about Space Mountain.

But seriously, all you have to say to a kid who asks is something like 'oh, Mickey just gave up his country house so that Dumbo/the princesses/Tinker Bell and her friends could have somewhere nice. Mickey still has his main house in Toontown out in California. Don't worry, I bet we'll see Mickey later on Main Street.' It's not like you'll be telling the kid 'NO! THEY TORE HIS HOUSE DOWN AND YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO SEE HIM AGAIN!!!'

This might finally be a good opportunity to explain the housing crisis to your children. Tell them it was simply not realistic for Mickey to own a home in both Southern California and Central Florida.

"Who's got time to wonder what happened to some ridiculous talking mice when they're driving by at 75 miles an hour?" :drevil:
Seriously though, he already has a (better) house in Disneyland. Why not tell them that?

I think it's already to go.:D They USED to have the M/G back there.
Well, I need to stick my head back into the Buzz cutout very soon.

And watch "Steamboat Willie" and other classic cartoons on the circa 1973 Walt Disney Theater screen. :D

Think they can configure the M&G so that they reveal that 1973-1985 animation mural & Castle diagrams to the general public again?

Mom: "Because its Florida and we're in the middle of a recession.....Govt shouldn't have loaned him money on a house that he couldnt pay back!!"

Seriously, what is a parent to tell there kid when this happens? Just curious...

I found this at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32816617/

Disney Imagineers, who design rides and attractions, said the Toon Town attraction would be dismantled and its popular Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse houses relocated to another section of Walt Disney World.
