Dodgers played a terrific series & deserve to be advancing to the NLCS.

Atlanta (not surprisingly) pulled off yet another Choketober. I was hoping LA's Puig would be eating his words about wanting to play Atlanta first round in the playoffs, and that playing Atlanta in the NLDS guarantees a spot in the next round. But the Braves brought reality to his words and gave another performance that I as an Atl fan am not too proud of. But, as we're used to saying...there's always next season.

The Braves played a really good game, today. They didn't play terribly, in my opinion, and they had a great season!

Ah crap. But thanks for all the magic this season Buccos. I have to say I thought this game would come with my kids, not my dad. I guess Disney didn't write our season script after all, haha!

Ouch :( Yeah that was quite magical, and I couldn't be prouder of our year!!

Matt Adams is from my hometown, so I'm quite proud/bitter that he hurt us badly tonight :(

I'll take Pittsburgh over Cincinnati in tonight's game.

I'd like to see Cleveland advance tomorrow instead of TB, but I have a feeling the Rays will win that one.

The 4 division series should all be close. I'll go with Red Sox over Rays, Tiggers over As, Dodgers over Braves and Cards over Pirates. But they're all pretty much toss-ups. They all won between 92 and 97 games.
Somehow I've guessed them all right so far - too bad I didn't put money on any of them. I should quit while I'm ahead like Tony LaRussa, but I won't. In the league championship series I'll take the Red Sox over the Tigers, and the Cards over the Dodgers.

I was happy to see Verlander come through tonight for Detroit. He had a tough season.

The similarities from 2012's to 2013's postseason have thus far been very similar:

-Both teams which won the Wild Card game are soon eliminated in the Divisional Series.
-The Detroit Tigers beat the Oakland A's in a Game 5, and advance to play an AL East team.
-The St. Louis Cardinals face elimination yet prevail; advancing to play an NL West team.
-The Atl Braves have the performance of folly, with bad fielding, bad hitting, and most memorable mistakes.

The Braves ARE the Braves....looking back, I can't believe we actually won one in that 15 year run....

Must point out, The Dodgers and As typically flop in the post season as well...

In no way should this be misinterpreted as a defense for Atlanta sports....

Raven have you traveled to Atlanta in the past? Or do you listen to Atl radio over the Internet? That's what everyone says down here!! "Great season", "Ran into a buzzsaw"....we are never the buzzsaw...we always find/create the buzzsaw!!! Electricity at the Ted rivals a doctors office/library....

Tiggers are in trouble again.

I wonder what the temperature is in Detroit. Erin Andrews is dressed for Siberia in January.

What's with Puig & all those little-league fielding errors this postseason? Overthrowing to home when he should be throwing to 2nd, missing routine catches, etc. Not saying he did anything to cost tonight's game, but I'm still a little embarrassed for the fella.

Interesting how the SF Giants won last year's NLCS at home 9-0 & celebrate in the rain, then went on to win the World Series. This year, the St. Louis Cardinals win the NLCS at home 9-0 & celebrate in the rain...

Puig has been making those mistakes all year but until recently did enough good things to make up for them. Hopefully they can refine his talents more next year and he can become a true superstar.

So... the Boston Red Sox just won the ALCS.

Anybody here? *Looks around empty room* Nope?

I fell asleep for a couple innings, woke up to see the grand slam, but fell asleep again before it ended.

Now we have 3 off days - for TV revenue reasons - while the weather keeps getting less baseball-like.

I tried to watch the game for awhile, but eventually turned it off after so many scoreless innings. Next thing ya know, I switch back and the Sox are celebrating on the field after the final out.
