Both Ohio teams are already out. But Cleveland had a great season under their new manager Terry Francona, going from 90 losses last year to 90 wins. Cincinnati under-performed - they were the consensus pick to win their division.
The 4 division series should all be close. I'll go with Red Sox over Rays, Tiggers over As, Dodgers over Braves and Cards over Pirates. But they're all pretty much toss-ups. They all won between 92 and 97 games.

So happy to be a lifelong Pirates fan right about nowI KNEW they'd get back to the playoffs!!
Living in Atlanta now though, ugh. I LOATHE the Braves. LOATHE.
What? I guess we all must have teams that we Loathe. Mine is the Yankees.

The Braves never faced Kershaw in the regular season. He is dang good. Our left fielder needs to step up his game. Why can't we put someone else in the outfield and have another player bat for him? Can we impliment that rule just for the playoffs? Can only be one player per team.....
Still think the Braves have as good a chance as any! GO BRAVES!

Another impressive win for the Boston Red Sox tonight.
As for the A's/Tigers game on Saturday...where were the bats on that one?? I'm sorry, but pitcher's duals can only be tolerated for a few innings. What fun is watching two people play catch for 3 hours? I hope the bats come alive and bring some excitement to this series.

Who woulda thunk it...the Braves actually won game 2...I figured they would get swept!! At least they are only having to record 3 outs per opponents inning now.... now that the greatest third baseman of all time who shall nary a negative word be said in these parts has finally retired...they mat actually have a shot now that he and his let's throw the ball into right field have moved on...

Wacha had another terrific game especially for a rookie on the road in the playoffs. Should be a great game 5 Wednesday in St. Louis.
Longoria just hit a 3 run HR so maybe the Sox won't sweep the Rays.
Interesting LA is starting Kershaw on only 3 days rest against the Braves.

Dodgers played a terrific series & deserve to be advancing to the NLCS.
Atlanta (not surprisingly) pulled off yet another Choketober. I was hoping LA's Puig would be eating his words about wanting to play Atlanta first round in the playoffs, and that playing Atlanta in the NLDS guarantees a spot in the next round. But the Braves brought reality to his words and gave another performance that I as an Atl fan am not too proud of. But, as we're used to saying...there's always next season.
