MK Good Morning Show Question

My wife and I for one reason or another have never made it to the Good Morning show at the MK. So my question is what time do you suggest we arrive for it? We will be staying offsite (Windsor Hills Resort only 1 mile from WDW) and wanted to make sure we got there in plenty of time to see it.

Also, how does Disney go about picking the family that gets to throw "pixie dust" at the morning show? Thanks!

Its usually 10-15 minutes before the park opens. So if it opens at 9:00am I would try to get there by 8:30am. We've seen it a couple of times and its great!

You will want to get to MK about 1/2 an hour before opening. You will also want to make sure that it is not an early EMH day. From what I understand they pick the family relatively early. If it is like Epcot and AK you really just need to make polite conversation with the right CM and never under any circumstances ask to do it. Figuring out who that right CM is is the hard part.

Awesome! Well it will be Me, my wife and my mother/father/brother in law (who have never been to WDW before). I think that fact might get us in the front running to throw the pixie dust if I tell it to the right CM like you said...

I have seen families get picked for the opening shows at MK and Epcot. They are usually bubbly excited people who are talking and friendly with the CMs who walk by. Sometimes the people in the group are dressed alike or in a way that make them stand out from the crowd.
If you get a bunch of 'first trip' shirts made for that day, you might get picked! :)

OOOOoooo, so cool. Now it is my goal for our family to get picked. We're staying at BLT so hopefully we'll have a few shots at it next trip. We watched the show for the first time our last trip and the kids were so excited. It's definitely the best way to start off your MK day!! I was seriously just as pumped up as them watching the characters coming in!!

If you are driving in you will want to get there even earlier than people are saying. You will want to be at the Magic Kingdom entrance at least by 8:30 like most people are saying, but you will want to arrive at the TTA at least around 8am as you will still need to get over to the Magic Kingdom itself and I know when I went that early they only had the resort monorail running to get you over there.
