thats what i was wondering if the track could
easily be removed by parts instead of a entire replacement.

By saying not being replaced, I mean not being replaced. There may be a few track areas that are modified slightly, but nothing that would be that noticeable to someone riding. Basically the point I am trying to convey is don't get your hopes up for much, if any, noticeable change in the track with the upcoming rehab.

Thanks YoYo....Appreciate it.

Why does the SM refurb remind me of SSE?Closed then open then closed again?

I have a bad feeling about this...:lookaroun:lol:

Same here, sounds like a fiasco in the making........again:rolleyes:

I dunno though...SSE wasn't as bad as SOME people made it out to be...:dazzle:

Perhaps the refurb will be quicker than what we anticipated-Who can tell?

We just have to wait and see...Sorry if my original post was glum,it was just a gut feeling.:lookaroun

That's true, but DL's customer base is different than WDW's... MANY more AP holders, and the majority is a local customer base. Locals who frequent the park would probably be more tolerant of a situation like that.

WDW's majority of customers aren't local... They're vacationers. Some of which consider WDW a once in a lifetime trip. I could see many more complaints coming from that kind of group than DL's.

Plus... DL's wasn't down two years voluntarily. It was closed unexpectedly and overnight. They didn't CHOOSE to have it down that long.

It wouldn't have been down that long if track had been ordered months ahead of time, and the refurb planned for in detail. They literally had to put orders in for the parts AFTER the ride closed to the public.

Which this again would say that the replacement track and ride vehicles for Space would have already been on order, so how can it be cut back at this point?

Phil :fork: if you cut it back.

True...Didn't one of our "informants" tell us that track was ready to be installed and was in the corner of the MK Parking Lot?:veryconfu

It was reported by Lee that the track had been order so it would be hard to back out now. (in reference to changing the plans) This was weeks ago.

This contradicts everything YoYo posted/heard. who knows. I guess we will find out soon enough

Either this thing has been slashed so utterly and completely, or WDI is about to make a breakthrough in logistical planning and execution.

One thing is for sure: my initial excitement about this project is no longer with me. I really don't like the sound of all this.

On the plus side, good to hear HM will be getting what appears to be a genra refurb. Should keep everything looking good working properly.

Let us pray.

I am happy about HM though...Glad that they aren't gonna let it deteriorate AGAIN.

Agreed. I dont think anything good could come from the timeframe being shorter. I guess we will have to see in the coming months the extend of the rehab. If they dont replace the track, thats gonna be quite a disappointment

Imagine if the things that were ordered and believed to be new track were just Wall E props and decorations for a re-theming

Just remember kids, orders can be canceled.

These kinds of orders, can't be just dropped... especially if they have been in the works. If canceled, it would cost Disney some large $$$ to the vendor, and that would be spelled out in contracts with the vendor/sub-contractor.
