Just remember kids, orders can be canceled.
Wonder what the cancellation fees are for a roller coaster?

Anything can be dropped. Sure there will be a price to pay but if these tracks only exist in a computer or are even in the beginning stages of fabrication Disney can stop the order. These kinds of orders, can't be just dropped... especially if they have been in the works. If canceled, it would cost Disney some large $$$ to the vendor, and that would be spelled out in contracts with the vendor/sub-contractor.

All true but then you have that wonderful "We are not canceling it we are just postponing it" line.Depending on when the order was contracted, and how far into initial setup and pre-fab the sub-contractor was at the time of a supposed cancellation, it could be huge and cost Disney the total expenses incurred to date, plus expenses to breakdown operations prematurely...... then you can tack on the cancellation fees.

for a track-only reservation, it's no charge if done 15 days or more before receipt. If you have a "track and installation your way" package, you're screwed if you cancel less than 45 days before.

Imagine if the things that were ordered and believed to be new track were just Wall E props and decorations for a re-theming
....:lookaroun
Your scaring me.
Perhaps the track is being diverted to DHS and will become the new Monsters ride that is being rumored because the powers that be have decided to go with something completely different and state of the art at Space Mountain such as the mega single track layout that so many here hope for. Wouldn't it be ironic if the original twin SM layout ended up as a Pixar attraction at DHS and SM then got a launched single track mega coaster attraction. :lookaroun
heavilyi don't know whether to laugh....or cry.

Well, it is highly rumored/believed that WALL*E/BNL will bring back a cohesive theme to TL so why get scared? TL needs it-BAD.
I wouldn't mind if inspiration was gained and used for TL or space but i mean I don't want to see Wall-E or Eve on my flight in space mountain.
Space mountain I guess is a soft spot for me considering it was my first roller coaster and I DO want it to get and upgrade but leave pixar out of it.
It doesn't make any sense though you could easily draw new ideas from and of the rides without being pixar because its such a vast theme that has plenty of variety. Ya know?![]()
You think maybe it is only gonna be 6 months because they are only gonna replace one track? And just take the second out completely??? if they were the case they would have plenty of room to use and thus could probably work faster

That by itself is an interesting thought. Is it physically possible inside the building for them to rebuild one track at a time? It would result in two shorter downtimes rather than one long one. It makes the ride uneven for a while, but that probably doesn't matter much to someone who was pushing for a shorter less-intense refurb in the name of park capacity. Maybe the ride could close April-November 2009 AND 2010, unfortunately blocking out the summer season but covering the major holiday periods.
I've never read a rumor about this ever happenning to the Magic Kingdom. We speculated about it in the thread about the Wall-E credits, but in that case we started the rumor on our own without any basis. The only other time I ever heard anything like this was in regards to a possible Wall-E overlay of the Tomorrowland in the eventual Shanghai Disneyland. So I wouldn't call it highly rumored. In any case, I already said how I'd feel about Wall-E as the overall theme of Tomorrowland, so I won't go on about it again. I'd rather see Meet the Robinsons as the movie tie-in than Wall-E. I love Wall-E, but he belongs somewhere else, not Tomorrowland.
