That's pretty much the plan - and since we'll be getting into MCO late as it is, this should save us a little time. I rolled my shirts up, which should help, and I figure I'll hang them up tonight (before we go to the pool!)DisneyBunny said:At least you won't lose them!

both houses?DisneyBunny said:It went OK. It's a looooot of stuff to think about. Who's house we'd sell first, how we'd figure out the mortgage, bridge loans, do we want a lot, or a large lot of land with a pre-existing dwelling.... My mind is blown
We learned that if we sold both houses we *could* make it work, but I think we might want to wait a few years till we're settled, and maybe have started a family.
OK - that's my preference too!DisneyBunny said:A cone would be nice. :slurp:

I know what you mean. My mom moved to Florida when my kids were quite young, so they really missed out on growing up with her. Consequently, they're both much closer to my MIL, which is a little annoying to me.DisneyBunny said:The plan is to have my Mom come live with us. Ideally in her own smaller home, but we've also been thinking of in-law quarters. She's been really lonely since I got married, and her house is getting to be too much for her by herself. Living alone is tough, and since we're extremely close, it just seemed the natural thing to do. Plus, i'd love to have her live close by when we get around to having kids.

So true. My mom just got tired of everyone depending on her for free babysitting (she has 20 grandchildren), so when the opportunity arose, she moved far away from them. I never had her sit for my kids, but my brother and sister both did daily.DisneyBunny said:My mom always said that you have to be there in someone's lives to build up any kind of relationship. I don't really know my grandparents because of that. We didn't see each other much while I was growing up because I reminded them of their lost son, so as a result I don't really have any relationship with them now. They're just nice older people, not "grandparents"

I hate when people are obnoxious with it and use it in public where it shouldn't be used, like last night we went out to eat and there was a family of four behind us, and my buddy dropped the F bomb a few times, then realized... the kids were like 8 and 4... so he turned and sympathetically apologized and said he really didn't mean to be rude... doesn't make up for it, but people who don't have any care really annoy me
ANNNNDDD.... Barry Manilow's Mandy is a fantastic song!
