Jim's Dad: It's like playing a tennis ball against a brick wall, which can be fun, it can be fun. But it's not a game
Jim: right
Jim's Dad: It's not a game
Jim: No
Jim's Dad: What you want is a partner to return the ball

No. What's cool is listening to music that you were actually ALIVE for the release of.
So people should not listen to The Beatles? Anyone under 19 can't enjoy Elvis? Classical music must be silenced?

But I know what you mean, people will listen to something just because it's trendy and shy away from what is not. Experienced that recently - I have a wide range of tastes and people would not understand why I like swing music. Then an old Sinatra song became famous via a TV advert, a mainstream act released a swing album and suddenly swing was cool. The same trendy people who berated me for listening to swing were commenting on how cool it was

You are waaaaaaaaaaay too sensitive sometimes. Welcome to grown-up world where people say and do adult things:wave: It's great that you are so pure, but you can't hide in that bubble forever.

Please don't take this offensively.
There is a difference between being adult and playing at being an adult. Just because a person can say rude words does not make them an adult.

There is also a danger in using expletives as part of everyday language - such a person will have nothing to fall back on when the need to vent with some colourful language and so are just left with violence to let off steam.

Never said that it did. I'm just saying that when you grow up, people are going to use so-called "bad words", and you need to deal with it. Not many 5 year olds running around shouting expletives (on purpose)..

Morning all

Its grocery day today. I don't mine the shopping, its the putting away that gets me.

Now I need to finish the laundry because..well...I kinda like dry clothes to wear. School is winding down and we are very busy here, can't wait until the end of June.

Good morning everyone!
I had to leave early last night.
Real life! How dare people require my attention!
Anyway, quite a difference of opinions amongst our boys last night.

I had to repack into a smaller bag this morning, since we decided that we're not checking bags at all this time. Hopefully my things won't get too squished. :(
