My father was EXACTLY like that. Didn't like to slow things down with pit stops, either - I can still hear him bark over his shoulder to my brother and I in the back seat - "HOLD IT!!! WE'LL BE THERE IN FIVE HOURS!" :lol:

Hey, we did it even with breaks!

He just drove fast enough at night. Less highway troopers out then. :lookaroun

I can't even FATHOM driving for 20 hours. I drove from my house to Atlanta (9 hours) last summer, and I thought I would go crazy!

Eh. He did it, but with the assistance of some good visitor centre orange juice to aid him in the last hours. :lol:

Dad never exceeded the speed limit (he was an attorney at the time, and went on to be a judge - wouldn't have looked good!) :lol: Now that he's older, he's a bit mellower - but he's still a let's-get-on-the-road-NOW! type.

I must get back to cleaning for the family party we're having on Sunday. My aunt from Jax, FL is surprising everyone by flying up for the party, so I must go clean the bedrooms! Joy! :rolleyes:
