Tomorrow we're going to look at a hall for a possible reception site for Lauren's wedding.
They have her date open (October 6, 2007) so we're hoping we all like it.
A big bonus: It's right across the street from us.
She could have her pics taken on our complex grounds. It's beautiful here.

Hello. Just thought I'd update you all on the outcome of that competition I was at on Sunday and Monday.

The word is that my team place SECOND! In the whole state!!!! Which means we get to go to the INTERNATIONAL competition in COLORADO!!!! :sohappy: :sohappy:

Now, apparently this isn't straight-from-the-source information. two people on the team called another person on the team while she was in English class. She then called me while I was in the Amnesty Internation meeting. Then she went to the teacher/coach to make sure it was true, but he wasn't there. So we aren't POSITIVE about it yet... but we're pretty sure.

I'm so happy right now

What's funny about it all is that we were probably the one team that did things that made it seem like we SHOULDN'T have placed. We didn't go to the opening ceremonies. We almost died by stuffing seven people in a Volkswagon Jetta. We got in trouble with security. We trashed the rooms. We stole plastic animals from the hotel. We stayed up until midnight the night before.

Not good practices if you want to win :lookaroun

Probably not. But it started out as five when we went from the hotel to CityWalk. But then we picked up two more who met us there for dinner. We only had one car, so we had to do some stuffing. I ended up in front with a girl half on my lap who opened the door (on accident) as we were stopped at a red light. I saved her by holding the door shut until I could close it all the way about a quarter of a mile down International Drive.

We were laughing to loud at America's Funniest Videos. At midnight. Apparently people don't like that.

Hey, my Dad has enough willpower. He drove from midnight to 8:00 p.m. last trip, so we made it to Buena Vista Suites in 20 hours. :lol:
