We've never been good at saving (and no, I'm not proud of that), but Joel may or may not live with us the rest of our lives; I can't predict his future either behaviorally or medically, but I do know it will not be inexpensive. So, as a result, Abby loses out and we have to hope and pray her grades will help her secure academic scholarships. And yes, I feel very guilty about that.

Unfortunately any place where children are involved is considered fair game by predators, and they make their way to them. When DD was in high school, one of her teachers was caught making some pretty indecent propositions to a couple of junior high girls over the internet. Fortunately the parents saw the messages and reported it, and he was fired and arrested.
