Maybe someday....I'm not there yet though. I've been there over three years now, so any teaching I give newbies is in the way of encouragement. Just centering a piece of clay on the wheel takes time and patience, but when you do it feels awesome.

Sounds like it's really your calling though - keep at it!

Incidentally, my only experience with a pottery sheel resulted in a major redecoration of the craft room.....

I guess what I am trying to say is this... if you love pottery which I am assuming you do. Make that the focus... if you have to get a part time job, it is so you can continue pottery, if you go back to school, its so you can either teach pottery or get better at (progressing from wheels to other shapes like squares and triangles:lol: ). But keep your eyes set on the goal. It will make the other things fall into part of your plan.

Attitude Bunny, its all about Attitude, just enjoy where you are at. You could be getting chewed out by a contractor because a shipment is 3 weeks late. I would glady switch with you!!! Family and all. (although I don't think I would have a picture taken with Marc)

Thanks Rick. In an ideal situation, if I went back to school it would be art history/ceramics. Reality: my daughter is graduating in 12 years, and we need to save for her schooling, as well as the potential of Joel remaining at home with us (I don't know if you knew that Rick - he is autistic, so independent living for him is a hope, but not a guarantee). Getting a job will be necessary at some point. Whether it's in clay or not, who knows?
But I appreciate everyone's encouragement! :kiss:
I have to go for now, time to get the boy from preschool. I'll check in with everybody later! :wave:

He's normally a lot of fun to be around... but his mom was playing "let's take pictures for an hour before our dinner reservations" and he got very irritated.
